I'm going to type this slowly otherwise I am likely to lose it. I have always said, missing out on a trifecta, if by my own mistake, mistimed attack, poor leadership etc is something that will annoy me, but ultimately a me problem - losing out on a trifecta due to a bug introduced by poor coding, poor quality control, or poor management however will absolutely send me into a keyboard snapping rage.
So, here we are, ZOS. After duct taping my keyboard back together, here we are. Tonight, after many runs, practice, team building and general funnage, tonight was the night of perfect co-ordination and effort, of seamless pulls and well executed damage and heals - and then I tried to block an attack from the final boss and death took me.
I'd spent 15 minutes wondering what was wrong. Why did my tank I have spent years perfecting and optimizing suddenly seem to feel squishy. I couldn't put my finger on it until I saw that death recap showing what had just killed me. An unlucky set of hits to be sure, but one I had survived many times before. What was it about those damage taken numbers? And then it dawned on me, the boss had hit me, I had blocked, but the mitigation was way below where it should have been.
Was it me? Had I mistakenly put on the wrong armour? Was my rotation off? No, it was none of those things. It's because I had swapped bars, then swapped back again - AND THE WEAPON PASSIVES were no longer in effect. Now I don't know for sure this bug was down to poor coding, poor quality control, or poor management but I'm sure many will form an opinion, but what I do know is this: It is beyond unacceptable that this bug made it to Live. It is unacceptable you have left your forum mods to take the brunt of the complaints. It is unacceptable that your senior management has not apologized.
ZOS, you owe me a trifecta, and your players a damn big apology. And breathe!
