.My experiences demonstrate the more I complain on this board the worse my experience gets.
Today as yet another great example
The NPC Expert player has beaten me several times.
A so called software developer needs me to explain an algorithm.
People have already explained it to you:SeaGtGruff wrote: »My own theory: The more you complain, the worse your overall attitude is, which affects the decisions you make while playing Tales of Tribute and other portions of of ESO.
I experience the same thing when trying to clear certain challenging PvE content, both in ESO and in other games. The worse my attitude becomes for whatever reason, the more blunders I make-- which feeds back into my sour attitude, leading to even more blunders on my part.
You don't need to fight some “hidden algorithm” by constantly changing decks, switching accounts or whatever, that will only hurt your consistency. I play basically one midrange style (Eagle/Crows/Loremaster) which I think is less affected by luck than more “explosive” decks (like Rajhin, Druid or Mora). Find a style that you like the most, learn the “tech” picks for it and stick with it — that's the algorithm.
Or just take a break, there's nothing wrong with that. I had several months when I was so disgusted with ToT that I haven't touched it. I'm slowly getting back into it, but I still have to do every trick in the book to make it tolerable.

Expert NPC Reynelle Gaersley (in Shimmerene on Oct 29) was atrocious. Hadn't seen them before, or not since I've started logging my games a while back. I do the NPC daily on a daily basis. At some point I wondered if the NPC had cards just materializing out of thin air into their hand, but I don't keep track of cards. I have 100% win-rates against eNPCs; with this one I won 3 games out of 11. (Ten of those games had Orgnum, not one of my faves but the NPC was happily spamming it. Maybe there was some arithmetic error with Orgnum's power, but, much to my regret, not tracking cards also means not tracking that. However, it seems highly unlikely that the math would apply differently for only one character. Or maybe I was out of it for some reason and not realizing that I played poorly -- also rather implausible even with my alexithymia. Looking forward to running into this NPC again.)
Funny how you're allowed to stick your “20 YEAR IT CAREER!!!11” into every second post, but nobody else can touch computers except to click “Launch ESO” icon. Makes one wonder if it's the same attitude you're bringing to ToT.lets talk MR I AM A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER!
Maybe he was “wiping the floor with you” by still making the dumbest moves possible. You're not showing us anything, how would we know? The big IT guy can't even upload some videos to properly expose this grand ZOS conspiracy.the EXACT same player who suddenly makes the single dumbest moves after whipping the floor with me
I have also tried your so called method of sticking with exactly two decks constantly.
explain it to me like I am 5!
explain it to me like I am 5!
· Guy plays bad.
· Wins several games against you by the streak of luck.
· Streak ends at random moment.
· You switch accounts at random moment.
· Guy continues to play bad and you destroy him.
Sure, you like your explanation better, because it's yours. But hey, ZOS don't even have manpower to stop you from spreading conspiracies on the forum (which is against Community Rules). The idea of them having a desire and means to develop some super-algorithm to soil your cereal just doesn't mesh with anything else we can observe about this game.
You're mistaking the noise for a signal, plain and simple.

But believe what you want, it's not up to other players to explain anything or prove anything.
Personally if I was getting this upset, I'd probably stop playing ToT at this point and seek out something more enjoyable where there wasn't a massive conspiracy against me, but that's just me.
