[Housing] Could unlocked Blue and Green-quality Antiquity furnishings please be added to vendors

Title;

More info:
There are years of unanswered questions about this, whether it's a bug or what. To the point where it's even leading to some conspiracy theories (I've encountered in Discords and in-game)

After certain conversations, AFAIK now, it's not quite a bug exactly. So I'm making this post here to ask for this officially. And to notify other players: because many don't even realize this until they need to buy an item, which can take years because of the vicious multi-layer RNG. (Sort of a separate problem; link just for reference: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/683736/removing-map-based-leads ) The game generally sets up buyability as an option for unlocked Antiquities (otherwise, what's the point of 3/3?) so I know some players who've been aggravated to learn their months of grinding to unlock a specific item was meaningless. Maybe some Housing folks will learn of this problem just thanks to this post here in the Systems / Housing section.

Personally I've quit West Weald Antiquities due to the combination of these two problems. Likewise in Solstice (and Eastern Solstice is looking dire too):
Can't buy the pieces I was excited about // After testing how bad the drop rates were, I give up - my final data is here. (Don't mind the silly header image, just made to warn other players who may not know what they're getting into – if they happen to search when they finally get confused and frustrated about not getting anything :P like this person for example)

It's sad most of us don't actually get to use most of these furnishings, and it's a waste all around – of the Housing team's great work, and the Housing community's time and goodwill.

...I’m sad that I can’t get more copies of the wonderful mushroom book.

You've had terrible luck with that one; now I realize that's probably just what you mean – it's too irritating to keep trying and have no end in sight. But for a second I thought you meant because it's a green lead:

Vasei sells it – even though the lead is green, the furnishing is purple. Likewise Vasei sells the Watchful Light: furnishing is blue, but the lead is purple, and it is available for purchase. It's all terribly inconsistent, which is why initially I didn't even realize there was a pattern to what was or wasn't available.

UESP is not updated to reflect these. (I'd paste screenshots for proof but I guess for some reason that feature is not enabled in this section of the forum... weird as Housing discussion would most benefit from being able to add pictures directly (Imgur doesn't like my VPN))

I don't mind that we need the Codex to be able to purchase an antiquity furnishing from the vendor, BUT I think just filling out the antiquity ONCE should be sufficient, rather than 3 times.

As far as RNG, too many leads have such a low drop rate that it turns what should be a fun activity that rewards the player into a dreaded grind.

Agree. Also want to make sure it's clear that this post is not calling the codex into question at all – it's that some items are completely unbuyable regardless of completion:

On the plus side we have tons of furnishings, and get dozens of new furnishings per patch. :)
On the negative side, the devs don't seem to be able to keep up with keeping track of if the furnishings are actually obtainable, or work properly. :(

Plus, we have no clue where to report legitimate issues with furnishings so that they can be addressed.
The 'transparent communication' doesn't seem to be very clear. :'(

    Good point Onyx,

I've started feeling more hesitant about buying latest chapters because of the realization that many of the exciting items are not reasonably obtainable for years. (And despite being somewhat vocal about certain things, I'm actually a fairly happy camper: I love landscaping, so even just the Home Goods vendors keep me pretty entertained. Others have it worse.)

So maybe it's an idea for a new topic / request:
I for one would not mind if a patch addressed the obtainability and functionality / bugs of existing items rather than adding hundreds of new ones! Since QoL is on the table, can we hope? (But after adding Stone-Nest structures, please ;) )

Yes, exactly! I’m grateful Filer Ool sells leads, but they are only for multi-part antiquities, never antiquities that require a single lead.

I have persevered after leads before, when it’s something I could repeatedly do — a dungeon, a world boss, looting a type of container, etc. Sometimes it got frustrating, but I just only did so much at a time, and eventually got the leads I was after. But treasure map leads I cannot possibly grind because there is no reliable source for them. At least with the motifs as treasure chest antiquity leads there is the option to sell them, so if there’s one I really want, I can pay someone else for their good fortune. But with single piece furnishing leads, I’m [snip] :disappointed:
