Talking to Skordo once inside Gristmung Hold during The Worm Turns quest does not progress the quest (on a non-template character that has completed all of the base game content, if that helps). Abandoned the quest and redid it, same result. Seems like the exact same issue that Prince Azah was having.

Oh hi, other person I saw sitting up there next to the gate. :D

Yeah so this quest is still super broken and I would just like to ask very nicely for it to be fixed as soon as possible because I have been wanting to get through this story on my main character for a week and if it takes until next week to get it fixed yet again and I don't actually get to do it until it goes Live I am either going to cry or throw my couch out a window. (Possibly both.)

Update if anyone's concerned about my mental health: I ended up taking a template alt through some old zone quests (Camlorn/Cath Bedraud, Rivenspire, and Summerset - skipping Coldharbour to dodge the quest-blocking bugs) and am now going through the new storyline with her. So my couch and windows are safe, and any crying done will be for other reasons.

Yeah, I have the same issue, stuck at Skordo at the same dialogue.
My character is a copied one that did the Daggerfall Covenant and finished the base game's main quest, with Coldharbour invasion, defeating Molag Bal and all.

Seconding: It would be awesome if this new assembly by a quest NPC could be dissolved fast. :)

    You... I've seen you...

I'm super curious with how this story ends, but now I fear for the remaining four quests since the very first quest in eastern Solstice is being so troublesome due to presumably base game completion. Hopefully the fixes are simple and aren't causing any headaches for the team.

Any chance this new edition of The Worm Turns bug can get fixed before the PTS swaps to EU? It'd be really disappointing to do all that work to do all the side quests before the main quest only to lose it all to week 3 EU

(Location) Some random bridge near Mor Naril: While traversing the bridge, the screen will get the turqoise tint it usually gets if your character dies.

Pretty sure the tint is part of an encounter. It takes a little bit of time to trigger but it does happen. I went back to that spot since I assumed it was for a quest I hadn't found like the one in Skyrim but it seems to just be for an encounter.

I've seen it now. Is it a one-time thing? Because it is interesting.

The only potential issue I see is that it takes a whole while for the encounter to appear, so some people might just assume a bug and continue their way and won't see it.

I think it's maybe a one time thing. I haven't been able to reproc it on my character.

A few of us grouped up and cleared the Fortress together - luckily since the patch we can now send our alts who have done so back in to repeat it, and it can be done straight off a new template alt who's not completed any other content, so there will be more players able to assist - give a shout if you want some help.

Yeah like Margravigne said you pretty much need to get lucky finding other people there or call in backup from friends.

In my case with the template alt I spent over an hour clearing side trash completely solo before going to bed, and then when I woke up I was fortunate to get in on a group clearing the final boss. So it worked out about as well as it could have. :D

I wanted to check out the Tide-Born Pool achievement furnishing but the striking locales in Eastern Solstice are not registering for the Solstice Pathfinder achievement. As shown in the screenshot, none of them are ticked off for the achievement but they show as discovered on the map.

Additionally, there is one in the achievement called “Stone-Nest Breakwater” but on the map it’s called “Xaht Jeel Pier”.

    j7dkbgkad2cs.png

Tested on a CP3600 template character, went to all the striking locales in both E and W Solstice to test.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed? I don’t see any comment about it in the patch notes.

    Hi dcrush,

I just double checked our upcoming patch notes and it looks like this should be fixed in the next PTS build.

I’m not sure if this is the right place but right now the Western half’s Main Quest is extremely messed up. NPCs have their dialogue and some of their prompts from the end of the questline instead of what they should be saying and once I completed the quest to bring the Gift of Death back to Azah, the next quest didn’t start and there is no marker for it. 😐

If you're playing on a template, this quest was pre-completed for you, so your are intended to skip it. The jumbled dialogue is a side effect of the NPC's prompts having been checked, and them thinking they are speaking with you later in the questline.

So you can go straight to picking up the Part 2 quests.

    During the Ashbound Hall quest:
if you play stealth, the NPC following you seems to be getting stuck on enemy mobs, staying in some corner doing her cast animation at nothing and breaking you out of stealth. At some point I realized I'd left her somewhere way back because she was stuck in combat with Idk-what, so I just left. Maybe not a problem for players who kill everything along the way.

    Xor-Hist:
Really cool, but seems unfinished? At a WIP stage where I'm not sure if feedback is useful or wanted yet.
You're able to enter Xor-Hist even without starting the quest, but the town is totally deserted. Then if you start it, a few NPCs appear, most have no dialogue or are only standing in place. But I wasn't able to progress it when you're meant to talk to the stone-shaper, no dialogue started in the quest area. I went in the courtyard and into the tree anyway (which is amazing! what a cool environment and lore!) but definitely seemed like it shouldn't have been accessible yet.

Should Points of Interest be working?

I've found the Eastern Solstice POI as you can see on the map, but they don't register for the achievement to buy the fountain.

I don't know if it's a lack of numbers right now due to the EU-copy issues, or if the progross rate just hasn't been adjusted from the 'live' requirements to the setting we had for previous PTS runs on the Writhing Wall Phases, but there is zero progress being made on this:

I am not sure if I misunderstood something in the patch notes, but why is there even Phase 1 again? I cannot get past the "Crossing the wall" quest and explore the main quest further, as the wall is not open. I am on a template character, since my EU characters also did not copy.

Okay I'm thoroughly confused. So the wall is open I was able to complete the zone quest for crossing the wall but I can't start the worm turns. There's a non-zone quest it's a variation of helping the fellowship taking me back into the writhing fortress which I'm never ever going to try to do on my own again. I thought the notes with this update that we just got where that we did not have to complete the writing fortress once the wall is down. My other instinct was to then go back and do the western side quests for this one quests do I need to do that to progress the story? When I complete the crossing the wall quest or whatever the one with the meridian lens is Sorry I'm voice typing cuz I'm driving. There's no option to continue his own quest it just starts with Gordo Sorry his name is getting autocorrected there. Scordo the knife wanting to take you into the rising fortress. So I'm willing to go back and replay the bass western quests but I don't want to replay them unless that's actually what I'm supposed to do. Or do we still have to get through the awful awful awful terrible thing that is the writing fortress? Does anyone know?

    Final boss fight issue:
I died after the bone dragon, and on the next attempt I was stuck in the giant stone robot for the wave of mobs after destroying the alter. While it’s fun stomping mobs, I couldn’t interact with the Glaive of Meridia until I logged out and logged back in, at which point my character was back to normal.

Having the same confusion. Patch notes say the fortress is not necessary anymore, but I am directed there with no way to continue the main story on the eastern side. Yesterday I finally had other people with me in the fortress but it bugged out (see thread on fortress bugs). It's frustrating.

Hey @Qethsegol, think I saw you in the Fortress when we ended up stuck on that last level before Zysax? The Fortress isn't necessary, I just wanted to rerun it for continuity checks, and had dragged a couple of friends along with me.

You can bypass it by speaking with Azah at the Rampart Camp, beside the Meridian Lens, and firing the Lens itself when prompted. Once that's done, Azah will be on the other side of the pillar he was standing next to, and will give you 'The Worm Turns' to meet Skordo in the pass and enter Eastern Solstice:

The breach in the Wall is too low on the eastern/uphill side to enter while on horseback, you can ride through west-to-east, but need to dismount to enter it heading east-to-west:

Yes, we were in the fortress together.

Thank you for your answer, but I do not get the quest from Azah, after the lens was fired. I am being directed into the fortress with no way to skip it, unfortunately, and Azah disappears from the rampart camp. I can enter the eastern part, but no quest. Maybe it has something to do with the EU copying issues.

Edited because I keep saying Azar instead of Azah :)

Interesting. That would confirm my suspicion about the templates having this bug. I can only check myself once I get my own EU characters. @Margravigne do you remember if Prince Azah gave this quest to your copies and templates both?

I did another run of all East Solstice quests I could find (main quest and 12 side quests). First completion was in week 1 on a template character, second was now in week 3 on my main who has completeled all story content before. Will write a full review later, but I can already list the bugs I found this time now:

Unfortunately, these 2 bugs I posted here in week 1 are not fixed yet:
    Syldras wrote: »
(Location) Caterwaul Cove: Map of the cave system is missing.
    Syldras wrote: »
(Item) The Staff of Magnus: Now it looks completely different than when we saw it for the first time in ESO. Not sure if that makes much sense when it comes to an important ancient artifact, especially since the design was kept exactly the same in different TES games (in Morrowind, Skyrim and ESO - and well, it was nothing more but a simple line in Arena and Daggerfall, but that was surely due to technical limitations). Now, it looks nothing like that anymore. Also, it looks exactly like the current staff of Vanus Galerion.

I also wrote about a bug in Xor-Hist the last time...
    Syldras wrote: »
(Quest) Roots in Stone: The ending of the quest in Xor-Hist is bugged. The Voskrona Guardians that were supposed to attack the final boss attacked me instead :D (Not sure if I might have accidentally hit them first? But I had friendly fire disabled - "spare innocents" or whatever it's called in the settings - , but I did use an ultimate at the boss standing nearby and I had Azandar active, so maybe it was related to that?) - Even worse, they have no health bar, so I couldn't defeat them; and I couldn't leave the location either - a courtyard - since I couldn't activate the doors because "stuck in combat". So I let them kill me and respawned at the local wayshrine. Returned to the courtyard, and this time, they left me alone. Boss was defeated. But then, I couldn't turn in the quest because the npc I was supposed to talk to wasn't interactible. There were also some daedra still standing around not reacting to anything.

...and this time it was even worse as it didn't bug out at the end of the quest, but already rather early - upon reaching the grapple point area in the xanmeer. Can't talk to Mani-Kai - can't progress. Leaving and entering the location once more doesn't change anything.

And then there's two things I noticed during the final quest of the main questline: In Mor Naril, you need to break a grate (or closed gate) using a Voskrona guardian - it says the grate is broken, you can pass through it, but optically, it's still there unchanged. That's clearly bugged.

The other thing I noticed I'm not sure whether it's actually a bug, but in that situation where you're supposed to gather with your allies before the final attack, there's just only a few people around, despite my character having completed all quest content?! There were basically just a few people from the Nord village and the Tideborn Village from West Solstice, and a certain someone from Aldwilne Citadel from the East. Considering it's 10+ side quests on each side of the island, that's really not a lot. And although we were told they'll support us later, we can't choose anyone of them to actually fight with us, they just have a few lines of dialogue each and that's it, and then you just never see them again. Not even after the end of the whole story - during the last conversation, only the Stirk people show up anyway, no one else at all.

I guess I should mention I'm on a template character too. I'll try doing the western side zone quests first see if that does anything and I will report back one way or another. It seems people are saying copy to base game characters they're not having the issue with azah issuing the quest to proceed to the worm turns But with 3,600 templates they are. So to clarify my earlier post yeah I'm on a 3600 template but I'm working from home today so between things I'll try to do the western side base quest to see if that does anything. Thank you to the person who posted where azah should be so I'll at least look for him there
