Why do YOU do it?
What is it about PvP that gets you motivated to focus your playtime doing it?
I see these threads complaining about Vengeance and other threads complaining PvP in general and while entertaining to a certain degree they make we wonder why do it at all if it's no fun?
I just felt like asking. Danke.
ESO only game with this level of build diversity and PvP which doesn't gimp you for having fun. DOTA might have more strategy but this has the most fun builds when it comes to PvP.

For this game nothing. There’s no real PvP except in Cyrodiil or IC. I enjoy those places because they’re relaxing and fun. Battlegrounds on the other hand are awful. The draft system is random, you dont get a good healer while the enemy does and reeks of fake outcomes. You can’t take 4v4 seriously when it’s just about who has ESO Plus and the dlc dungeon gear. No skill involved, just pay to win. they couldnt even make pvp gears you get from bg or ic good because of that reason.
In IC and Cyrodiil you can count on help from others and that makes it enjoyable. In BGs if your teammates are all newbies with 0 healers , you’re screwed before it even begins. Then you’re forced to sit through 15 minutes of a pointless match. It’s rage bait and infuriating.
There's fun in unpredictability. It's a great time to get with friends and work together towards a goal. I pvp in Cyro with a group. I'm constantly having fun both trying to improve and help the group. There's a challenge to it that's harder than anything else in the game, so when our group does well? Heck yeah, I love this game.
PvP isn't fun in Vengeance, or with low pop. Playing the same people over and over because the servers can't handle numbers or people are discouraged is the downside.
For me the fun lies in creating roleplay builds that can stand their ground in PvE and PvP. For example: People would be quick to vote kick me in PvE when they'd see my inflated health bar and in PvP my sustained DPS is unreasonably high compared to my burst. The worst of both worlds, but fully in character and very immersive.

But also, it's kinder to my hands, weirdly. PvP is a lot of clicking in bursts, then a lot of opportunities to rest your hands. The variety is easier on my hands than standing behind bosses and doing a repetitive rotation. (This only applies to Cyrodiil of course, not BGs.)
