I'm guessing the real "source" of the lag is a cumulative of a bunch of different things and not just attributable to one single element (say, use of proc sets or cross-healing, alone). If subclassing adds to the things the server has to keep track of, or makes the math more complex, then Subclassing shouldn't be added, just to keep Vengeance simple.
I also just really enjoyed the Vengeance experience, which felt more like a "classic" pvp mode more than anything. Subclassing would disrupt that feel.

Before I answer I would like some clarification.
Vengeance is a series of tests to find out what is causing performance issues. What performance issues in your opinion can be found with expanding the test to subclassing?

What I want to know is why Subclassing is disabled in Vengeance in the first place. There might be a reason that people cannot Subclass — maybe it does come with a performance hit. It could be caused by certain non-performant skills being used in tandem, or it might be something to do with having skill lines swapped out in the first place. Eventually Vengeance should add in Subclassing to see if there's any performance hit in doing so.
