Maybe a bit out of topic, but wanted to vent a bit regarding the stream....

While I´ve no insight who´s in charge of the showcase streams ZOS do, I´m baffled how you can spend 1,5 hour talking about literally nothing. There is maybe 15-20 min of actual content and showcase (running around in other half of Solstice doing nothing is barely worthy of being called a "showcase"). Compare to whenever the GGG developers (those who are developing Path of Exile 2) do their showcase where they spend the first 15-20 min just bombarding you with all new things that will come with the next update, AND THEN spend the rest of the stream talking about whatever and maybe a short Q&A. ZOS for sure could learn a thing or two from them when it comes to create interest and hype for upcoming patches.

For me the loss of interest with the game as of lately is how each new update adds little to nothing "new" in a sense. Same re-skinned trials with same layout/formula (3 bosses, 3 HM´s and a out of reach trifecta), dungeon DLC´s with little variety, very few to no interesting sets, Vengeance that ZOS seems to be very eager to push/force down the community´s throat despite mixed feelings on whether it´s good for the game or not (can´t wait to be right on Vengeance replacing regular PvP down the road, even though I hope I´m wrong). ZOS putting all new content on maintenance mode after it´s been implemented (looking at you battlegrounds). Like I can go on......

Honestly, It had to be one of the most boring showcase streams ever. I totally understand that they wanted to show the map, but without spoilers. I would say that showing off map etc left me quite impressed actually and the world bosses could be fun - especially the one that they showed last. I also liked how they talked about your story choices. Yet again, they didn't show anything because "no spoilers" - which in this case is understandable.

But everything else? There was nothing to show. Are the map & quest designers only people working? Combat & PvP/Cyro part was disappoting - no suprises here, as I think the team that is responsible for it completly ignores players, and they want to make survey to get feedback. And even on recet AUA (ask us anything) Brian's answers were not that popular among players...

I also have to play devil's advocate here, I wouldn't compare it to PoE2. PoE2 is developed and yet to be relased, it is in early access and everything is hyped and their hyping up also not always is good reflection of reality. I would like ZoS to be more realistic with what they show. I think if they didn't had much to show they should cut it and that's it. People are taking about few huge systems that ZoS hyped up at the beginning of the year and so far they only teasing us, with nothing to show. I wouldn't mind if they went quiet for some time and actually comeback when things are ready, becuase all I ever hear is "we have so much to show.... later".

How can they not understand that unless we get a paycheck from ZOS, we don’t care what the corporate structure is, what their job title is, what their job responsibilities are? We didn’t tune in for a LinkedIn round table.

If your position is relevant to why you are avoiding answering my questions and not fixing the QoL issues by all means slip it in. Otherwise, give me information I need or want to play the game.

I’m also kind of sick of the reveal/not a reveal game. If we cared about spoilers we wouldn’t be tuning in. Why would I want to watch you run around for half an hour trying to avoid spoilers?

They always seem more interested in entertaining each other than answering questions . I’m also always secondhand embarrassed by how badly they play their own game.

Some things I did learn today that I had always suspected. The second half of Solstice is no more interesting than the first.half. The “season pass” was a shrinkflation cash grab and they weren’t going to reveal it until as late as possible i.e. this stream. “This is a transition year” How about you transition twenty dollars back into my account? They think recycling assets, call backs and milking played out aspects of the game are fooling the players and a positive experience that they can continue to ride for another twenty years.

Well the game is still great.
If some dont like it, bye. Save yourself the grief and ours.

Until those who don’t sign up for marketing can get surveys, I won’t be able to participate in them.

I have spent countless hours composing thoughtful comments for the forums here about the issues I think need to be addressed. Just like old posts on here are getting automatically getting deleted closed because they may not be relevant, it should be obvious whether or not those issues have actually been addressed yet or not.

I still think the seasons model of not knowing for what you are paying for is a bad practice. If you want to break up the content in pieces then let us pay for it piecemeal.

    EDIT: clarification

I mean… those who do sign up for marketing don’t get surveys either, outside of the Vengeance one. Because there are no surveys.

Really would be nice if any of those surveys we’ve heard about actually did come out at some point…

Yeah. They announced their seasons model to the playerbase with the idea that development projects would be able to release as they're ready instead of having to adhere to a set release schedule. And their pitch made it sound like feature/project releases wouldn't have to wait on cyclical updates to land in the players hands and would be awesome. However the reality is that it's more that they're no longer beholden to a release schedule anymore, and under less pressure to get them out in a timely manner.
