I am on a new character and looting stolen stuff with autoloot on crashes EVERY TIME. :( What is going on? It's literally one dumb thing after another anymore. What can I do to fix this rubbish? Spent 40 min crashing and googling - I don't work here 5bl5ilo2c2h5.png

More information would be needed to pinpoint a cause

What platform, add-ons in use, network conditions, and possibly hardware would help determine an issue.
(Math before coffee, except after 3, is not for me)

I'm guessing your addons might not be up to date since the last patch?
If you are on console, this could be somewhat more problematic.

If you’re on PC, I would suggest trying to disable all add-ons on that character and see if you can play normally. At least that could rule out if it’s an add-on issue.

No addons on at all. None. PC NA *Literally everything else works fine* lol (it's not hardware/internet or any of that - I run vet raids with all addons on etc even forget to turn off my MM ones and no issues) it's only on 2 characters - the ones who don't have any addons on at all.

Are your drivers up to date as well?

Are you running ESO with other programs at the same time (chrome?)

Is it only when looting stolen stuff? Because I only see sheep in the screenshot and they don't have stolen stuff.

Try disabling auto loot stolen items in the game settings.
I auto loot but not on stolen items as it let me inspect illegal containers to see if I want the items. Peaking is not a crime in elder scrolls.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

It's peeking if you mean look with your eyes; and also yeah I'd like the 10 year old base game features to just work.

That setting is fine for you - but our goals wrt stealing are different.

Open the Launcher, hit play. Change your Server to (EU). Hit Quit - to the right...wait a min or so. Go to the launcher, select Game Options. Select Repair...let this complete. Exit the launcher. Reboot your PC. Relaunch the ESO launcher, hit play. Change your Server to (NA) and login. See if the problem still occurs.

The goal is to determine if auto looting of stolen items is the cause of your crashes or if it could be something else.

It's a really fast way to lvl Legerdemain without accruing too much bounty - get max sell/launder of guts for the day in under 10 min :)

I still steal apples in Craglorn myself. The orchard is literally right at the outlaw refuge's doorstep. But I guess the guts from the sheep leaves you with a healthy supply of fish bait.
