Crown Crate Items - Need Solution for Unwanted or Undesirable

Sometimes Crown Crates have really really awesome stuff. Sometimes they have stuff that some of us really just dont or never want to see, and others just stuff that we really just dont want and will never use.

IMO, there should be an option to cash in these items for Gems or Seals or something just to get rid of them. A good example. in this round of Crown Crates there are eyes that are "Eyebite Nightmares" i looked at them and they made me so uncomfortable i almost vomitted. i can't even look at them without getting sick. i dont want these in my inventory at all. As in i dont even want to scroll past them, or even chance to look at them. But the thing is, there are some really good things i would want from these crates too. but i just dont know if i want to risk it as i will get something that truly makes me sick to look at.

which brings me to the topic at hand, can we please get a method or process to exchange these unwanted collection items? or allow us to convert them to gems if we dont want them?

In the meantime, even though i would like some of the mounts, weapons, skill styles (which i dont have gems or endeavors for right now) i will probably pass on buying any crates for myself this crate season, and will want for a return to get what i want in gems or seals.

let me know if yall think im crazy for thinking like this....

For now, you can probably ask support to get rid of them. I think some players have had spider pets removed that way.

I did that. I don't know if anyone else has done the same.

Also just to be clear it was a simple deletion. I didn't get any replacement or compensation, not even crown gems, just the spider removed from my account. I was happy with that (and it was from a free crate anyway), but I think it's important to know what to expect if you go that route.

I would like a way to delete collectibles ourselves, and I'd extend it to all collectibles, not just crown crate ones. There's always a chance an achievement will add something some players hate even seeing in the menu and then they'd have to take care to avoid completing the achievement, which could be more annoying than skipping certain crates.

I've been asking for a way to gem out unwanted Crown Crate mounts, pets, costumes, face/body markings, hairstyles, emotes, mementos, skins, major/minor adornments, etc. for years.

Like, we can gem out the motif books, furnishings, potions, poisons, and such so why not the other stuff? I have so much Crate junk just collecting dust, some of which has even been sitting there since the original Storm Atronach release (2016) which will have been 9 years ago in December. Just lemme gem it out ZOS.

What should happen is how the PTS handles collection items. Put them in a container. You receive an item from crates? It should show up in a container in your inventory that is bound to you that you can either use to absorb and earn/learn the item, or can be returned and made into crown gems. Very simple.

I'd be happy with an option to right-click it and select Hide Collectible. Then a separate menu tab with the hidden collectibles where you can choose Show Collectible.

You have no idea how much I regretted buying the All Hairs / All Adornments pack just so I could use two or three of them

Same! Turns out I never use any of them, and it's hard to find the ones I really want now.

If I could exchange all the unwanted tattoos for gems, I'd probably get a cool mount. Which is why we'll probably never be able to exchange unwanted cosmetics for gems.

Your best bet would be to Favorite the ones you use or like the most so they're always at the top of the Hairstyles tab. That way you don't have to sort through all of them all the time.

Other games have a feature to hide unwanted cosmetics from your inventory, the same way a blacklist works. It's still owned by your account, but you'll never scroll past it accidentally since you would need to intentionally open the list of hidden cosmetics.

Yeah, an option to either delete or hide a collectible would be so useful. I'm tired of all the clutter in my collections, most of which I will never use.

Though perhaps it's a blessing in disguise, as the overwhelming clutter in my collections tab means that I haven't felt the need to buy any crown crates for a very long time.

I grabbed the new crates yesterday because I really liked the look of one of the skins and had this thought when all the pets came up instead.
I really wish it didn't auto-consume the collectibles so we could trade them out for gems like the potions and scrolls etc. I actually got the Vvardvark mount in the first crate, which I will never use because I think my tall Altmer looks silly on them.
