How close are you to finishing the Subclassing grind?

There are 4 major stages of the Subclassing grind:
  1. Completing the Subclassing quest
  2. Earning some experience toward your Subclassing skill lines
  3. Reaching Rank 50 in every skill line
  4. Reaching Rank IV for both morphs of every skill in every skill line
In addition to that, you also need to consider that you cannot access the Subclassing version of your base class, so you need to use an alternate character of another class to grind XP for the Subclassing version of the first class.

This poll takes into account these stages as well as whether you've also handled the hidden Subclassing version of your base class, for those of us who primarily play just one character. Follow this procedure to determine the poll option that's right for you:
  1. Reached Rank IV on every ability morph? If yes, pick poll option #5 or #6, depending on whether you've also completed the Subclassing grind for your base class. If no, move on to the next step.
  2. Reached Rank 50 in every skill line? If yes, pick poll option #3 or #4, depending on whether you've also completed the Subclassing grind for your base class. If no, move on to the next step.
  3. Have you completed the Subclassing quest? If yes, pick poll option #2. If no, pick poll option #1.

So, by this point in time, how far along with the Subclassing grind have you gotten?

I don't plan on using Subclassing on any of my characters besides my main, and even then only when I'm forced to by my raid leads. There is no reason for me to get both morphs.

I took advantage of the day one double XP to get everything up with one morph, including for my main's parent Class. And now I never need to look at it again.

Hopefully they'll eventually balance this properly so I don't even have to be forced to Subclass on my main either.

I don't need every skills line at 50, and I CERTAINLY don't need every morph of every skill leveled up.

I've got the skill lines I want leveled up, and the skills need leveled and morphed. I can dps, heal, or tank whatever interests me, and I have a silly elemental build I play around with overland. I don't need to level up anything else at this time.

Personally, I'm not bothering to unlock both morphs. I frequently don't actually want both morphs and I figure it won't kill me to occasionally need to grind a skill if I do want to use it.

I'm probably under a week away from having all of the lines to 50 on my main account.

My alt account is probably two to three weeks out but, I might pause on doing it because I'm not sure I really want to bother with the last few lines.

The poll could probably use more middle ground options.

You've got an absolutely massive gap in the time investment for people that aren't optimizing xp gain between having just started the grind and having it most of the way done.

I'm somewhere between ranking up one morph to Level IV and ranking up both morphs to Level IV across all abilities. There are some morphs that I don't use and didn't see much of a need to go back and respec just for the second morph. Rankin gup both would make life a little easier somewhere down the road if I decide to actively subclass, but I can live with starting from Level I of a morph if it becomes necessary.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

I am still waiting on an double XP event to use all my master writs to level up many subclassing lines. Subclassing dropped just after a double XP event ended. During that event, I level up as many base class skills I could. I got lucky and only had one class skill not leveled up to 50 on all my base classes. If that skill was leveled to 50, I would have not been able to complete the subclass quest and would PERMINALLY lost a quest slot, meaning I lose my max quest from 25 to 24.

Finished it on the first day taking advantage of the X2 XP.

    On three accounts.

It was IMO a superfluous inconvenience but it hardly qualifies as a 'grind' (in the context of ESO).

If it follows the pattern of previous years we should have 2XP after the 'wall' event.

i have leveled up a few lines fully,
    some only partially,
and there are also a few I have not touched yet like Dark Magic and Siphoning.

i love Subclassing and it is fun to level up skill lines.
i do not know which poll option fits me though.

I made sure to level all of the skill lines and morphs that would be of use to me with Master Writs when the double XP event was still active. While I have made some progress on other skill lines since then, I'm not really in a hurry to level the skill lines I never intend to use anyways.

I do not think I have a suitable option in this poll since I've never planned to finish all of the skill lines. I'm interested only in 3 4 skill lines and only in specific skills from those lines. So, I guess I'm close to my goal.

OK guys, it might sound like a sarcastic question but... you do know that Subclassing is just a new feature that you can use or not depending on your will and need and that it's not something that you can or should grind, right ?

I don't even understand what the OP means with this poll.
My main character is a nightblade, and the way I play this class (not with class skills, actually), Subclassing was really welcome since I could get rid of an unused skill line to get the Warden Animal Companions line (while I don't have any warden and haven't liked the short experience of that class I've ever had).

But it's my main. My other characters don't need subclassing, I play the other classes as they should be played. In no universe I intend to master every skill line of every class, I'm not even interested in the Necromancer and Arcanist classes in the first place.
Is this poll and question a way to make a simple new feature a competitive mechanic, or am I missing something ?

Took me about a month, went back through all the base game alliance zones, doing both main and side quests, with one of my alts, while equipped with training gear and making use of some of the 100% XP potions I had stockpiled.

I already had the way shrines unlocked from sky shard hunting, excluding in Coldharbour, on the alt, I was already half way through Deshaan in the Pact story line, finished it and the rest of the Pact story, went through the DC story line, think I was finished part way through Malabal Tor in the AD story line carried on until, I had completed the main quest, think the only thing I forgot about levelling was the ultimate in the soul magic skill line.

I picked the choice I picked because at this point, all I have done is start a brand new character just for Subclassing, (actually, I converted one of my lvl 1 storage characters that I had had for a long time already), and after leveling it to 50 right before Subclassing went live I swapped out two classes and leveled the new ones and then leveled the morphs I wanted to try. All the while I was thinking about which one of my existing characters I wanted to try Subclassing with first. Sadly, when I got to that point, I realized I liked all of my existing characters just the way they are and I haven’t changed one yet. I’m still trying to pick one.

I've ranked all NB, Sorc, and Templar skill lines up to 50.

I'm currently leveling the third DK line on one character, and I'm on my first Arcanist skill line on another.

I never bothered to level a Warden or Necro (neither class really captured my interest), so I'm also leveling my Warden bank mule up when I feel like doing that instead.

Of course, this means two of my characters are pretty hobbled, so it keeps me from doing other things I'd like to do.
