French voiceover support is not available for Updates 47 and 48. We know this is disappointing and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to bringing back French voice over as soon as possible.

    It's not only the voiceover...

The text not being there is a known issue and we are working to fix that in an upcoming incremental. Several languages outside of French were impacted by this.

And we plan to bring the French voiceovers back as soon as we can.

    Hello @Zos-Kevin,

could we please get an update regarding the absence of the French voice-over since Update 47 of TESO? The French community has started to speculate quite a lot about this issue, as you can see in this article published on JeuxOnline: https://teso.jeuxonline.info/actualite/65620/doublages-francais-absents-deuxieme-partie-saisons-culte-ver

It must be said that it’s quite unsettling for French players — who have enjoyed high-quality French voice acting for the past 10 years — to suddenly lose it since Update 47. We now find ourselves playing with characters whose voices and accents differ greatly from what we’re used to, which severely affects immersion.

Thank you very much for your time and for any information you can share on this matter.

    Best regards,

Honestly, I'd be shocked if the lack of French voice overs for French customers didn't violate some kind of EU consumer protections. This is a huge issue, and I'm astounded the French community has been brushed off for months.
    I care what you think.

imo if it saves a lot of cost I would drop any voice over besides english (unless you can do it easily with ai); if the game has to save money they should invest it where it counts the most...and voice over in a lot of language would be very low on my list (and im not english native).

Have you ever considered brazilian at some point? World of Warcraft got a LOT of new players after they added brazilian portuguese to the languages back in 2012. ESO could do good with more players.

Fun fact, the unofficial brazilian-portuguese translation actually use the french version as the reference language.
