Console Fancy Action Bar+ Issues Thread

Please report any issues with the console port of Fancy Action Bar+ here (or on ESOUI or GitHub).

Known Issues:
  • The synergy prompt is obstructed by the buff bar with the adjustments to UI element positions necessary to fit the dual bar UI. Fixed with v2.14.13
  • Some multi-part menus appear to reset when navigating away to the next part of the configuration menu.
    This is a visual bug in the menu library, before navigating away press your "Confirm" button, this will correctly update the back end menu routines despite the visual bug.
  • After using an ultimate and bar swapping, the ultimate icon can grow to UI obstructing proportions.
    This is a conflict with the basegame UI setting "Ability Bar Back Row"
    You MUST manually disable this setting as addons are not able to automatically configure these options on console.

    When on PS5 (actually PS5 Pro), when I try to use one of the templates at the top, every time I move to the text button below to apply it, it resets to None, so I can't apply any of the templates.

    Hey, this is a known issue with the way LibAddonMenu translates settings to LibHarvensAddonSettings for console, but it's just a visual bug. The UI doesn't visually update but the correct parameters are being set in the back end, so switch to the preset you want, then click "A" to select it, then hit "Confirm Preset", when your UI reloads, the preset will have been applied even though it looked like it reset to "None". Let me know if this isn't the case - it worked like this when I was testing in the ConsoleFlow debug UI.

    First of all, thanks for porting it! Next question (not an issue as such sorry, but my google fu is missing something). I've had a look at the user documentation, and there isn't a link or anything that I can see that gives me a list of the skill IDs. Could you help point to where these are please?

    Praise you for allowing us to use skill style icons on our hotbars! It looks beautiful!
    I am currently using and enjoying the add-on. I adjusted the positioning of everything and all seems well so far. I will mess aroind with it more later, see if I bump into any bugs.
    Struggling to find a new class to call home.Please send help.

    uesp.net shoukld hold them for example:
    https://esolog.uesp.net/viewlog.php?record=minedSkills (Mined Skills (140982 records) )
    -> login username and password: esolog

    The "id" column should be the abilityId (or skillId), and top right you can use the search to find skills.
    Remmber that depending on the morphs of the skills the IDs can change, and even based on other values they could change.
    Also there are new skills for subclassing and scribed ones and so on.
    There might be different links/tables of these skillIds at the overall overiew of mined data:

    FAB isn't a UI element repositioning add-on, we do the minimal adjustments necessary to other UI elements to fit the expanded action bar in the space available. If you want to customize the position of other elements, you'll unfortunately need to wait for one of the developers of existing UI repositioning add-ons to port their tools to console, sorry!

    Hey, thanks for the bug report! I haven't been able to reproduce this so far on my end.
    Did you make any adjustment do any menu settings? And if so do you remember which ones?
    Of particular interest would be any of the action bar repositioning or layout settings.
    If not, could you try resetting the default preset and letting me know if it still happens?

    Could you also see if this "Force UI Adjustments" setting waaaaaay down in the Miscellaneous section is enabled or not, as well as the corresponding settings for the Resource and Buff Bars.

    Acastanza, I first want to thank you for making this great addon available to xbox users.

    I have 20 toons and it works great on 19 of them. On one toon, I have a problem that will not go away. I have tried every fix I could think of and all the ones I could find on line. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting saved variables, deleting saved files, clearing the xbox cache with hard resets, clearing the MAC address.

    Here it is: I have a subclassing build with Storm Calling and Daedric Summoning Sorcerer lines and Earthen Heart from.the DK. So, I am using Critical Surge(CS) and Molten Armaments(MA). When I first applied CS I put it on the first slot of the front bar, MA was already on the first slot of the back bar.

    Now, the following always happen: If I trigger CS, it starts its timer on its slot and the MA slot. It does not activate the MA skill. If CS is already running, when I start MA, it sets the CS timer to 0 and applies the correct timer to MA. It does not stop CS. One of these scenarios happen whether I am using either skill or both.

    This makes it impossible for me to get accurate timers on the FAB+. I either have an accurate timer on MA and 0 on CS or the CS timer on both slots, no matter if I am only using 1 of the 2 skills or both.

    The only way for me to get accurate info is to check the buff bar timers, but that gets too time consuming for a complicated rotation in trials.

    FAB+ is working fine on my other 19 toons.

    This isn't a character specific issue, its a difficulty with how the abilities work under the hood.

    The issue is kind of complicated; while Critical Surge as a unique effect ID that is applied to the player that it can be set to track but Molten Armaments does not, it can only be tracked by the Major Brutality timer, which Critical Surge also causes to refresh.

    The best possible behavior will be achieved by using the Ability Configuration > Tracked Effects section to set Critical Surge to track it's unique Buff ID, which is the same as it's ability ID; 23678 => Effect ID 23678

    Then, under the "ADDITIONAL TRACKING OPTIONS" menu, look under "Fallback Timers Options" for the "Fallback Timers Blacklist". There you're going to want to blacklist the Critical Surge ID 23678

    Critical Surge's timer will no longer reset when MA is cast, however, casing Crit Surge will still cause the timer to start on MA because it is applying the same buff that MA is.

    One thing you might do, is, if you're using the Molten Armaments morph specifically, instead set MA to track Minor Brutality that is also applied by the DK passive when MA is cast, for that you'd want to set MA (ability ID 31888) to track effect ID 61662. Now, that's only a 20 second buff, compared to the 38 seconds of Major Brut that the ability also provides, but it would be a timer that would only be refreshed by casting other DK abilities (idk if you're using anything else from that skill line, if you are this wouldn't really work).

    Love this add on! Though it seems the orange bar that shows your ultimate filling is not currently working, but the timer number is.

    Ps5 - It seems to be working today - maybe relogging was enough to fix it. Sometimes timers don’t always seem to go off either but it’s not a consistent problem.
