I got my leads all in one run when I ran with a guildmate all the way to Arc 9+. But since they added in a ton of other leads and other things that can drop in IA, it will literally take you MONTHS of grinding to get the Torc now.
At the very least, they should make Torc leads (and only torc leads) drop only from the little side-event portals that happen in IA, so people know where to focus their efforts and it would limit the drop pool for the targeted event. That would be a huge help. And it will still be difficult to get because if you have finished buying all the extra IA buffs, you are permanently at the most difficult levels for all of the side events (looking at you Daedric Octopus), so you won't complete them every time.

Been trying to farm the new mythic on live - 8 hours in so far. It has not gone well to say the least. I've done every side room that has appeared, killed multiple loot goblins and earned in the process over 46,000 Archival Fortunes. With that said, I have only 1 lead for the mythic which came from a quest reward within there. My friend has also joined for at least have that time and too has issues - not got a single lead in that entire time.
Are other people having issues with these leads and if so what solutions, if any, are there?
Thanks,
Dan

This would be very bad for players like me who are stuck at the Theater of War level 5 and can’t get past it. That one comes up about 19/20 times for me now. I have the others completed.
EDIT: typo

That one is not that bad. I'd think the Daedric Octopus would be worse tbh.
Do you play alone? I know that having a decent partner really makes a difference in these stages.

Yeah the hubby is not great at situational awareness, I tasked him with just interrupting her but it still didn’t work. She does the portal thing right before and he can’t find her in time. He’s a casual player and was just trying to help me out. He got burned out on ESO so I’m just skipping those.
Point is, any player can get stuck on any of them and not be able to get drops from side rooms.

Get to a point where you can get through two arcs, rinse and repeat. Do this every day and you'll have all the leads in a month or two. Yes, it takes time to achieve, but that's what achievements are. You can't buy them with a credit card, you have to earn them.

Sorry, that's just not reasonable to me. Grinding the same generic content every day for two months -- !!! -- even if it is somewhat randomized.
Like seriously, after one run when it was a month or two old, I was done with it. and I did well, with a decent leaderboard ranking in a general overland dps build I used to solo dlc worldbosses. It was just super uninteresting. Two months of it would be actual pain for me.
Keep in mind, I did the arena grinds, vet trials, dungeons, etc... I'm not entirely opposed to grinding, but IA is over the top. First because of the sheer number of items that drop there, and secondly it is repetitious by design. At least other arenas had interesting, diverse themes I could appreciate. I think the artwork is well done in a technical sense, but it is pain to my brain to process because it is so generic by design.
For the record, I also couldn't play the original diablo for the same reason.
ZOS went too far with this.

When I got my ebony wolf mount or whatever it's called i had to do volenfell over 30 times to get the lead there... one single lead. That wasn't fun but I did it because I wanted it.

If you are on XBOX NA I can help you out. I'll PM you my GT. Otherwise, you might have to lease hubby on the sidelines and get a more capable partner to get you over the hump on that one. I don't find her to be that difficult unless you are later in a run, but you do need to have one party stay on her and the other party keeping watch for crystals.
I know a lot of people hate the archive, but I actually really like running it.
