If you have already completed Scribing and have no desire to do it again on another character, you are extremely limited in your options. It seems there are only 18 possible with 16 required. And that's assuming the two healing Pursuits are reasonably achievable.

Unless the not-counting of the Scribing Quests and Scribing ownership are bugs.

Thanks for writing all that out

I agree with the issues. Because I obtained scribing with the chapter and completed the quests already, I am locked out of seven of the pursuits. It would have been nice if it was acknowledged and these pursuits had auto completed although I don't know if that would have been possible.

As it is now I am on PC EU and I can't stay logged in for more than a couple of minutes because I keep getting kicked out when the game has crashed

I appreciate your efforts because I can't get to read all the pursuits in game.

To edit your OP, the edit option is the Gear Icon on the right side of the thread's title/subject. Many people miss that as it's not in the same location as comments.

To add an almost on-topic note to this post: If anyone else finds that after completing a quest stage they cannot access the Annotated Fable for the next location hint because their Quest Items tab is blank, try a /reloadui, that fixes it for me (so far).

Question:
The "Claim 10 Rewards from the Daily Login Calendar" reward seems really good, BUT are you locked out of it if you make the mistake of doing 16 other pursuits before your 10 days to yoink login rewards are up?
Would be really annoying if that's the case, a lot of the pursuits on this list are easily done by accident.

no, you can still do these after you have completed it and received the main rewards. as long as the pursuit is still going

Unfortunately I completed the weekly of harvesting 50 resources the first day. Well, I guess it's not difficult to do again.

Not sure how many of these I'll finish as I'm not really interested in scribing.

Seems alright, except...

Some are impossible for me:
-Claim Scribing from the Crown Store(Like mentioned, already have it)
-Acquire 3 Grimoires(already bought them all, could this be changed to acquire three scripts maybe?)
-Complete the Quest "The Second Era of Scribing"(completed on all 20 characters)
-Complete the Scribing Quest "The Wing of the Indrik"(completed on all 20 characters)
-Complete the Scribing Quest "The Wing of the Netch"(completed on all 20 characters)
-Complete the Scribing Quest "The Wing of the Gryphon"(completed on all 20 characters)
-Complete the Scribing Quest "The Wing of the Dragon"(completed on all 20 characters)
-Complete the Scribing Quest "The Wing of the Crow"(completed on all 20 characters)

Add to that, the healing with scribed skills and the kills with scribed skills are really annoying to complete.

All the others seem fine to complete though. But could we please get more pursuits to complete for the ones that can possibly be uncompletable.
Please add a few more easy ones, for more options:
-Visit the scholarium
-Gain 5-10-15 scripts. (not learn scripts)
-Use three different grimoire skills.
Things like that.

Probably shouldn't make ~1/3 of the Pursuits things your paying customers have already done but only count if they're done fresh.

I use the Equilibrium skill to reduce my health then I repeatedly apply Ulfsild's Contingency (with Healing, Sage's Remedy and a random Affix). Nothing too difficult about it.

I have scribing completed in total on all 18 of my toons. My only option to complete this golden pursuit is to create and level a new toon. I can't even use the first three rewards from the golden pursuit because my toons already know all the skills.

No thanks.

Looks like ZOS just made a golden pursuit that's essentially something I can't complete on my account.

The script containers don't seem to be properly curating based on the script knowledge of the character opening them. I'm wondering if it's checking against the achievements for learning scripts, in which case if you've learned all of the scripts on any character then it'll default to being random.

Also note that the unopened scripts aren't bankable, so be sure to accept those rewards on the character you want to open them with.

Definitely a good golden pursuit but there are some issues with it.

1. I claimed the first reward on my necro alt for an "unknown affix script" It gave me berserk which I already knew and the last affix I didn't yet know was Vulnerability so I should have gotten that instead of Berserk.

2. As its been mentioned already completing quest for scribing that are in the golden pursuit doesn't award credit. Basically have to make an alt to get credit. (Granted no special rewards goes with getting these so not a huge deal breaker and there are enough other pursuits to do to get full credit)

3. The scribing altar at the end is a very nice item except if you've already purchased one. It would be nice if we could have an option to receive gold / ap / etc instead of the altar if we dont need it (because we already have it)

Yep, forgot to mention that in my post. I already have the altar too, so I already have the apex award from this golden pursuit as well.

This isn't looking to be very well thought out.

The healing is annoying, but if the kills work anything like daily endeavors, you just need to do damage them with a scribed skill during fight. For endeavors, I just Trample through trash mobs to open, then use my normal rotation after that and it still counted. If the Golden Pursuit requires killing blow, not just damage like endeavors, it will indeed be a pain.

16 of 26 to complete. Using one character that has completed the whole scribing skill line, I can do 18 no problem. Getting more would be no problem if I were to bring a young alt into play. No complaints here.

This is worded well, but I didn't read it right, so to clarify: the scripts that drop from the first three "enciphered" rewards are bound, but not character bound, and can be banked to move from character to character.

The "enciphered" containers themselves can't be banked.

Sorry to be pedantic. I ran around for over an hour with the "you've unlocked a golden pursuit" dialog on my screen because I mis-read.

Trample to damage monsters, Soul Burst with a Heal to heal both myself and a companion to get credit for healing both, and it wasn't even 30 mins in a public dungeon to knock those out. I used the Deetra Grotto PD in Solstice cuz the group event boss spawns tons of adds.

I trampled my way around a public dungeon for the mage's guild daily, and stood in some lava and healed with ulfsild's, and I did 11/16 of the pursuits in a couple hours on an account that already had scribing fully completed. This Pursuit isn't hard even if you went full into scribing when it first dropped.

Some of the pursuits I have already done, as others are also saying. I have no intention of starting a new character just to complete those pursuits.

Eerrrr? Huh? Naturally, it's grayed out for many of us. So, hmmm?

Six pursuits are "Complete the Quest" pursuits which many of us have already done. So, again... hmmm?

I would love to have the 10-year anniversary painting but I'm not sure that's ever going to happen.

Just a note. There are 27 pursuits. Minus the seven "complete the quest" pursuits allows you to finish the 16 pursuits to get all the rewards. (Please be kind. I'm working on a very low caffeine level at the moment.

Logged on to find out they want me to do what was easily the worst questline in the game AGAIN (The scribing one) and I’m locked out of the easy “claim it from the store” one.

Honestly thank god I swore off ever spending money on this game after gold road but curse me for not doing it sooner. Veteran players always get treated like trash.

If they’re gonna punish me for doing the content early then I think I’d rather just not play at all rather than be forced into playing more when I really don’t want to because FOMO is the only thing this wretched game has going for it to keep people around.

Who needs to farm mudcrabs? I just went into a public dungeon and knocked out 8 objectives in under 30 minutes. That took care of the 300 kills along with the healing objectives, class skill objective, skill style objectives, etc.. all in one go. Easy peasy, no muss no fuss.

Heck.. what punishment? Vets have it easier precisely because they don't have to do those quests to complete it. Vets can knock it out lickity split!
