Can Templar Class Script be made more agnostic?

With subclassing upon us, we’re likely entering a situation where the Templar class mastery script is never used to full effect, as the Sacred Ground bonus is strictly tied to Restoring Light tree (which will be dropped by any DPS immediately).

In comparison to Arcanist (for example), Crux can benefit all roles, spanning skills lines. Templar’s class script feels far too narrow now unfortunately - perhaps ZoS could explore some other form of parameter which procs the bonus condition?

    Maybe something like: "while a templar ability is slotted on the bar in use..."
    A: "We, as humans, should respect and take care of each other like in a Co-op, not a PvP 🌸"

    That would mean Templar abilities are strictly required. None of the other Class Mastery effects strictly require Class abilities — even Arcanist's Crux generation can proc Arcanist passives without the need for any abilities slotted.

    I'd rather Templar's Class Mastery just give you the bonus while not moving, to simulate the playstyle of Sacred Ground. Maybe it could instead just give the Weapon and Spell Damage without needing any additional conditions in the first place?

    I saw Templar and Agnostic and thought this was gonna be about breaking the abilities away from their relation to Stendarr.

    Or make it so that effect happens when 'Burning Light' procs... or along those lines... so that it's the passives that trigger, not skills.

    Better would be " when a passive ability procs". Burning light is tied to aedric spear line, which you sometimes might drop.
