I opened 500 research portfolios

Here are the results. I only got one purple provisioning recipe. Has anyone gotten a purple treasure (vendor trash) from a research portfolio before? I'm going to keep that column on the spreadsheet for now, but I am beginning to suspect they aren't included in the loot table.

Some extra info: Treasure maps are split into those without and with leads. Each portfolio drops exactly two items, so the rates should add up to 200% unless I missed something when taking notes or entering data.

There may be a cooldown on the purple provisioning recipes, which would explain why you only received 1 when opening 500 research portfolios in quick succession.

I did not open them in quick succession. The numbers in the left-hand column are how many I opened in each batch. Anecdotally, I did not notice evidence of any cooldowns within batches, but I was not specifically tracking for that.

Nice to see these statistics!

Purple treasures are just rare even when pickpocketing or looted from environment, so I would guess it generally will be rare from portfolio as well.
Also, the type of treasures might be related to paper type (as you can put them in a port folio), and there're those Azander's Note #number that are different from common treasures in terms of value.

Also, as for Map with/without lead, I think it's indifferent from the portfolio loot pool. One should compare with that distribution on all the possible treasure maps. I do believe that either each individual map are equally probable, or each zone are equally probable. The latter sounds to me more likely.

I admit I just started tracking the two types of maps separately for my own curiosity. You can add the rates together to get the overall treasure map rate.
