Need help: bought new TV and a weird delay happening

I play ESO on Xbox Series X, and I bought a new LG TV that has HDR (no idea if that is the cause), but there is a delay between the controller reaction and the TV itself. The game reacts half a second later to the input compared to my previous TV, where it reacted instantly. It's really irritating, and I feel like stop playing on Xbox because of it. When I turn my character around, it's like I have no control over it, that the screen keeps turning for half a second and then stop.

This is the TV I bought: 43UT80006LA

    Here is something to try.

Ensure your LG TV is in "Game Mode" or a similar low-latency picture mode. This mode typically optimizes the TV for gaming by disabling features that can add input lag.

That solved the issue. Thank you so much! No need for me to return the TV lol

Higher resolution images require more time to be generated, so if your TV is high resolution and your game is high frames per second (FPS), then it's going to cause delay between controller inputs and seeing it on the screen.

Reduce the resolution of the TV and/or cap the FPS of the game to something lower, then the delay should go away.

Some TVs also have a "gaming mode", so definitely try that first to see if it fixes the issue.

    More technical explanation:
If your TV is full HD resolution, that generally means 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution (1920 pixels per row, and 1080 rows of pixels).
So the total pixels your Xbox, PC, or PS5 has to calculate an image for is 1920 * 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels. So at 60 frames-per-second (FPS), that would be 2,073,600 * 60 = 124,416,000 calculations per second and that's before the calculations that have to be performed for the game itself.

Now suppose you run the game at 60 FPS, but on a smaller computer monitor that has a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
    800 * 600 = 480,000 pixels, and at 60FPS would be 480,000 * 60 = 28,800,000 calculations per second to show the image on the screen.

That means the full HD resolution requires 432% more calculations than the low resolution monitor, meaning the delay between your controller inputs and the image being drawn on the screen is increased by 432%. This is why high resolution TVs and monitors are bad for gaming.

I followed the suggestion about "game mode" and it worked perfectly. I appreciate the help so damn much.

I have an LG and my XBX works fine using the HDMI on the back on the TV, not the ones on the side.

I have a Samsung UHD TV which I use for my PS5 gaming, and when I bought it I went through all the options and noticed the Game Mode option.

I turned it to Auto ON and it works fine with my PS5. It's just one of those details that we must learn from experience.
