Consider giving another a free armory slot if subclassing goes live

When the Armory system came out, every character had two free slots. I haven't done any research, but from what I've heard from other players, a lot of people use one slot to store a curse (vampire or werewolf) and the second slot is left empty (sort of a free reset of all the skillpoints on the character) or the secondary role build for the character is saved into it (tank or heal if the character is a dps or vice versa)
Considering that with the introduction of the subclass system we will still be able to save the current character settings in armory, we may need an additional slot on each character that will use subclassing. And if someone has a lot of characters on your account, they may need to spend a noticeable amount (I have 20 characters, all dressed up and I play everyone from time to time).

Consider adding one free slot in Armory with the release of Solstice and the subclass system

Frankly, I'd be happy to be able to buy account-wide armoury slots.

Pls, I need this in my life. 15$ for a single armory slot on a single character is just absurd.

Account-wide armory slots would be great, e.g. for 3500 crowns for armory slot which is still a lot.

But 1500 per character really makes no sense.

Armory slots should of been account wide from the beginning. They're too expensive per slot to be for a single character when we have 20 character slots. And then if you change your main character or delete that character you lose that armory slot.

Raised this issue at the beginning of PTS, having only two slots and only character-wide with variety that subclassing will bring is gonna feel bad

Agreed. To make the new subclassing as smooth as possible they should give everyone one extra free slot for the Armory.

A good idea but you need to compensate characters that have unlocked all armory slots.

Because they paid for the slot and will not be able to receive the free one.
If you don't compensate them you are punishing them for their purchase.

Is the same argument we have for eso+ free trials.
The corresponding amount of time should be added to eso+ players that paid the service in the period it was released for free otherwise you are punishinèg your client for purchasing tings.

That's like saying that if they give away free dlc then those who bought it 5 years ago should be compensated now. Whoever managed to buy ALL slots for one character (what's the limit anyway) is whaling already

10 all together. Can buy 8 from the store. Given how many combos there are for all the skill lines they might want to increase that max too.

Why is the title "if" subclassing goes live? It IS going Live... time to plan for it. And NO, ZOS isn't going to give away any more free armories- they are in the business to MAKE money, not give it away. They already give us two free armories as it is, if you want more, than support the game by buying them. I have at least five on all 18 of my characters, and will be upping my new main to ten before launch... and I also agree that they should increase the limit above ten, like the person above suggested.

Yes it going live is guaranteed since ZOS already sold the chapter. To remove subclassing at this point ZOS would need to refound the chapter to all people that purchased it... wich is extremly improbable.

This said in wich form subclassing will go live is still in discussion. Personally i would limit subclassing to only 1 skill line instead of 2.

it is not part of the Content Pass. it is a base game feature. But it is indeed improbable that it won't release.

Subclassing suddenly being changed to be limited to 1 line swap is also extremely improbable.

I'll never support a decision to make character-wide slots for such a whooping 1500 crowns each when I'm actively playing the game with 9 characters, that's insane. This is not something to support
And NO, ZOS isn't going to give away any more free armories- they are in the business to MAKE money, not give it away
They made a lot of things more accessible to the common player. It's not unreasonable thing to ask.
I have at least five on all 18 of my characters,
Most of players aren't whales, even if we don't mind spending money on the game, nothing wrong with asking to have a more reasonable way for this

There should have been 3 free armory slots by default so that players could spec for each of the three roles at least. Nevermind that it can also be convenient to have slots for other activities like PvP, Thieving, and gatherer/crafter. Personally I also use a slot for solo arenas as well. I only ever bought slot on sale though, and even then I still think they were overpriced.

I would definitely like a free armory slot, at the very least a nice big reduction in price /sale on it when the subclassing goes live would be very good.

The certainty with which you deliver ZOS’s intentions is impressive but perhaps a touch premature. Saying “it IS going live” doesn’t negate the fact that players are still evaluating it, offering feedback, and—yes—raising conditional objections. That’s how public testing works.

As for the armory system: framing this as a matter of “supporting the game” overlooks a key concern. Subclassing introduces systemic changes that fundamentally reshape class identity and build structure. If players need significantly more armory slots because of that change, then the question isn’t whether ZOS is “in the business to make money.” It’s whether they are charging players to mitigate the complexity their own design has introduced.

There’s a difference between monetizing convenience and monetizing necessary adaptation.

It actually wouldn't be unprecedented. For example the last time races were rebalanced they have out like 5 (I think? Maybe it was 3?) race change tokens

The fact that outfit and armory slots are $15 per slot per character is the biggest faceplant this game ever made. If they were $5, I'd buy them as an impulse buy. If $15 was account wide, I'd buy a few to cover my major changes. But at that cost, they are too expensive to buy except for absolute necessities.
