Hey ESO people /wave

Been exactly a year since I took a break from the game, been thinking about poking my head in to see what's been happening in the past year and wanted to see what's changed.

I see Golden Road expansion is a thing? couldn't make out what was included in it besides being able to change the colour of certain spells and abilities?

What else stands out?

To piggyback off @NoticeMeArkay and their very thorough post, this question surfaces constantly. If you’re thinking of returning, then I’d encourage you and others to start with the excellent resources on UESP: https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page.

As above, but also these sorts of questions are often (but not in this case) expressed as "why should I return" or "what's changed for me" and the prerequisite for any answers is to know why the player left in the first place.

The only real answer of course is that the game is already owned and therefore free to dip back into, so players thinking of coming back can just try it and see.

1. spellcrafting/scribing is finally here. you can gain access to customizable spells and have fun with it. there's META ones and there are ones you can have great fun with in various situations in overland casual content.

2. new daedric prince Ithelia got included into the lore so if you care about the story do check that out

3. sub-classing is on its way in June which will give us more freedom than ever to experiment with our builds
