Battleground: Griefing seems allowed and support does only half things... or no things

I usually don't make a scene for such things, but in this case I have to, as first a player disappointed, and then the support.

To the background: I queued for my daily battleground. We got deathmatch and lost the first round. In the 2nd round a player just dropped off the platform and suicided all his 3 lifes (this seems to be common for some reason?).
As our team asked him to actually try again, he just answered "we are not worth his potions".

Well, so queued for the next match and got that same dude in my team again. We had domination, but not that it matters...he just ignored everything, climbed up some structure and went into sneak, doing nothing for the whole match. Of course we lost, as a 3vs4 is hardly doable in domination.

I queued again and what a surprise, the same dude again. Domination, he went into the middle of the map, far away from flags and afk'ing around again. He ended the match with 0 0 0, and we lost the game again.

Copying the important part from the code of conduct:

2.3 You may not harass, threaten, intentionally humiliate, “stream snipe”, “name and shame”, engage in acts of “griefing”, or cause distress to another user, guest, or ZeniMax staff member/teams using ZeniMax sites and Services.

What he does is actually griefing (manipulating the own team, so they lose for sure) and causing distress to 7 other players (all 3 games combined) and wasting a whole hour of us.

Now to the support:
I've recorded the both domination matches and send in a report, explaining everything what happened (which can be seen in the videos too).
After 2 days I've got an answer, that they have thoroughly reviewed the report and no action was taken... thoroughly? I've checked my both videos.. 1 had 1 click, the other one 0(!). How can they say they checked the report carefully, when they didn't even watched all evidences?

I've answered again and stated, that he was violating the code of conduct, griefing around and wasting everyones time. I've got no answer for 10 days...instead the status was changed from "waiting for employee" to "read answer provided". I've gave up on support and just wrote "thanks for ignoring me, have a nice evening". Today I got a response again, saying they checked it once again and they still don't see a violation... the one video was still not watched...

So, whats going on? Players can freely grief around without any fear? PvP can be toxic in some circumstances already, but that the support isn't doing anything against it just support such players...

I am probably not allowed to post the videos here, so if anyone want to see them, hit me up.

    It could be griefing.

It could also be that the person checks their team, maybe checks the health bars to see if he's running with pve players, checks the other team, and decides they don't want to participate in a blood bath.

Maybe they don't want to leave because of the severe penalty but realize their cause is hopeless.

Maybe they unintentionally queued for the wrong format because the order of options changes every single time their is an event...

Maybe they have to make a phone call, or the boss called. This happens to me a lot.

It's hard to prove one way or the other.

I would only suggest that it seems to me that FAR more people leave bgs than they did before zos introduced 2 sided bgs.

I would also say i find it very interesting that they increased the penalty for leaving significantly with the introduction of 2 sided. This is telling. Very very telling...

I mean yeah I'm not saying players should engage in negative behavior, but maybe they need to fix the underlying problem with battlegrounds. I'd guesstimate that like 60% of the 8v8 ones I join have one team that falls hopelessly behind within the first 1-2 minutes, and players generally leave or stop trying. I can't really say I blame em.

I don't think they had an phone call, else he wouldn't type

    LOSER
    LOSER
    LOSER
    LOSER
    LOSER

    in my whisper.
Ah no, it was his cat walking over his keyboard.... (as you refuse to see and accept the real obvious things).

And someone who say "you are not worth my potions" is totally a non-toxic player and would never ever [snip] other players off...

My point above is not that they werent griefing but that it is hard to prove.

    It sucks, but it happens.

Looks like you have some good evidence. I hope it works out for you.

Is this griefing? Or is it that Battlegrounds are so bad now people have to stand around and listen to a toon whelping for five minutes.

The best part is how I get a warning to stay active or be removed... can't make this stuff up.

Also, I didn't go fishing in my archives for this. This happened between the time I made my last comment above and when I posted... unbelievable...

I absolutely agree. In the beginning, I also sent reports to such players and got the answer that everything was OK. I lost two accounts with a total value of more than 2 thousand dollars due to the fact that my nerves simply couldn't stand it. And with all that is written in the ZOS safe space code, they allow constant trolling and bullying of players who want to play on BG. And we can't say anything to these players because we will be banned.
This is a disgusting and licentious position of ZOS, because of which they stole two accounts from me. I don't even know how many other accounts they stole just because people couldn't stand their nerves.
The situation is just disgusting. The game is ruined for you, over the course of several matches, you send a report, ZOS they tell you that everything is OK, next time your nerves break down and you are banned because of people who should not be in this mode at all, calling Buller and almost ***. How did these trolls who are destroying BG suffer so much that you stole a bunch of accounts because of them?
It is for this reason that my contempt for this whole ZOS policy knows no bounds. I hope that a player from the USA with a good lawyer will get into such a situation. There is bullying in the face and bringing to the breakdown of players who do not want to see afks on BG.

I bet ZOS will correct and delete this entry. At the same time, they'll probably find something to give me another ban and steal the product I paid for.

there is no need to justify pettiness and lack of an elementary conscience by saying that "BG is so bad." The most common phrase I see is "don't blame the players, blame ZOS".... blame ZOS for what? That you don't have the basic decency? I blame ZOS for the socialism they have spread and for the fact that trolls can spoil the game for those who want to play normally on BG, and then they also get the chance to ban him and deprive him of his account.

I'm not a PvPer by any means, but I've been participating in BGs most days for the Battlemaster rewards. I have a (somewhat cheesy) easy to get PvP heal build and although I don't do a lot of damage I can hold my own and keep team mates alive.

I find it a bit galling that for dungeons the community accepts having a reasonable build of some kind is required and that players should play their role to help the group, but for battlegrounds "the group" gets whatever you turn up in, with whatever health and skills you bring and that's supposed to be ok and the group should just suck it up that you have 17k health and die as soon as you respawn wasting everyone's time. Surely this could be considered a fake PvPer who has no business in battlegrounds?

The sad thing is that there's a higher likelihood of said griefer being banned if you report them for "tbagging" (even if they didn't do so) than for actual harmful actions in game aimed at ruining the game for others.

Besides the line 2.3 in CoC, there is also this:
5.2 In relation to online/competitive games, you will not exploit any bug, or abuse any game system (such as the scoring or award systems) in a ZeniMax game, Service, forum, or other games or services provided by ZeniMax. You will not intentionally use or share any bug found within any ZeniMax Game, real or fictitious, regardless of whether or not it grants an unfair advantage. You will not directly or indirectly communicate the existence of any such bug to any other user of the ZeniMax Service (in game or on a ZeniMax Service). Report bugs and exploits using the in-game portal or via help.elderscrollsonline.com. Unacceptable behaviors will also include any conduct that is considered by ZeniMax to be cheating (e.g. match fixing and collusion) or other unsportsmanlike conduct such as use of secondary accounts, intentionally losing and bribery.

    Highlighted the important bits.

Sadly, the only thing customer support seems to be interested in is tbagging (real and fictitious) - people griefing, streamsniping, inting BGs, filing fabricated reports to try and get people they dislike banned, insulting others in game etc etc... this is all just ignored - mention the keyword "tbag" in your report and you'll activate the customer support neurons all of a sudden.

It's both. Players are not.going to change. Getting them banned is unlikely. Zos can make some changes to make content like this more bearable. You can argue that they shouldn't have to and maybe you are right, but they are the ones taking all of our money to generate content.
