Subclassing and Class Change Tokens each have limitations that make the other useful.
For instance, Subclassing requires you to keep one skill line from your base Class. Your Class Mastery and Class Sets are tied to your base Class, including the curation of Class Sets. The visual motifs of Class Sets are tied to your base Class. The Infinite Archive leaderboard uses your base Class, and your base Class is used for PvP daily quests that require you to defeat a certain number of enemies of a particular Class.
Class Change Tokens would allow you to change your base Class, affecting all of the above. However, on their own, Class Change Tokens won't allow you to mix and match skill lines across Classes. There's a reason we would want both Subclassing and Class Change Tokens. Considering we eventually got Alliance Change Tokens, which impact other fundamental systems in the game across PvE and PvP, there's no reason to think Class Change Tokens are impossible to implement alongside Subclassing.
So, if we could have both, which ones would you use?
