It has an excellent ultimate, and excellent armor buff, Streak, a solid weapon damage buff/HoT, and a decent execute (albeit one that is much harder to use now). It also has some pretty strong passives.
In PvE I can see how it's not that useful, but you'd need to tweak the abilities that wouldn't affect PvP or this line will just become the de-facto armor buff tree that everyone takes (more than it already will be lol)

I really don't see an issue here, regarding pve. Just watching the post come through it seems like no PvE'r uses storm calling for anything, in that case why not go ahead and replace it?
This is my concern as well. And unfortunately it is bound to happen because this is the way zos do this kind of thing.Tommy_The_Gun wrote: »The thing I am worried about is that ZOS (after the flood gate will be opened) will just start nerfing broken combos (cuz each class skill was never designed to be used in combo with a skill sourced from a different class). And they will be doing it, regardless of the class power budget. So, we will be left with each class only having like 1 or 3 good ability & passive in total... So that "clean" classes will be useless and new system will be mandatory....
Storm calling has great passives, so at least there’s that.
The skills need some love, particularly mages fury and lightning flood.

The whole skill line is solid except for mages fury and lightning flood.
TBH if they buff mages fury, they better buff impale, cause impale sucks so bad for us still rocking rangeblades.
