Finally finished it today. It definitely makes the list of my all-time favourite quests in ESO. Zerith Var is a compelling an interesting character; and the story is a fantastic combination of a great sense of the lore and world, with a very moving and engaging story. Excellent all round. Loved it. Thank you.

    I finished his last quest today too!

    I really enjoyed his story and felt like he is a much more fleshed-out companion than the others. Krin-ze and Viti were also great supporting characters.

    I think it was better than most chapter main stories, to be honest.

    His questline makes you feel like you earn his friendship the most—by dealing with revelations and secrets that are very personal to him, that you help him overcome. I liked it more than many zone storylines for sure. Zerith-var felt like the main character of the quest, not the player.

    It almost reminds me of my favorite BioWare companions. Someone with an interesting background that you delve deeper into.

    I hope that Companions keep getting added, and if they come with new zones, maybe even replace some sidequests if that makes it easier to ship them out. I'd also like a Companion that you recruit as part of a main quest, so that they're more involved in the storyline. (For alts, it could be one of those main quests that you can do before all the quests that precede it, like doing a basegame zone out of order.)

    I had an audible gasp when i watched the plot twist. Its one of the best quests that I've ever done in the game, and I've almost done all of them.
    **SPOILERS AHEAD**
    The parts of the story where we see the topic of forgiving oneself and moving forward was so beautifully written, it actually inspired me a lot. I also love how the "possession" of Krinze by Viti was handled differently and you don't get the impression that its a run out of the mill necrotic magic.

    Better than a lot of main quests. Honestly, I'm a sucker for a good ole story of love, death, time travel, blue tattoos, dancing cats, and redemption. ZoS really pulled this one off.

    12 out of 10. Would rescue dancing cat people from eternal damnation again.

    When I first time finish elsweyr ashen scar quest
    the kind necro order use soul magic clean fall soul is my fav quest...
    so I glad Zos add this story in game

    This was one of the few questlines in years where I didn't skip any dialog and listened to all of the characters and their optional voice lines.. I enjoyed it very much.

    Come visit Karth's Glitter Box, Khajiit's home. Fully stocked guild hall done in sleek Khajiit stylings, with Grand Master Stations, Transmute, Scribing, Trial Dummies, etc. Also has 2 full bowling alleys, nightclub, and floating maze over Wrothgar.

    Yeah I like that about this questline. The writing and delivery was top notch too.
