Maybe it's because I wasn't playing for a while thanks to a borked laptop, but uh...what even IS Lead blocking? Like I get that it's blocking certain Leads you don't want to maximize chances of getting what you do, but how does one do this?
But doesn't that also block you from getting more Leads from that source until you do it? Like if you get a Lead from a chest, aren't you blocked from getting more Leads that drop from chests until that one is done? Or do you only have to Scry a Lead to open that 'slot' back up?Vulsahdaal wrote: »Maybe it's because I wasn't playing for a while thanks to a borked laptop, but uh...what even IS Lead blocking? Well one way to do it is if you receive a lead that you dont want, just dont dig it up. Leave it there and you wont receive another one until it expires.

So, the rumor that you don't get a lead drop you *could* have gotten because you have too many leads already is Baseless, false, and has no data to back it up, and just pure speculation.
There is nothing preventing you from getting a lead drop if you have other leads from that source already and the only way to guarantee lead drops is to hold onto all other leads from that source so only the one(s) you need can drop. This has been tested, and I can personally confirm it.
EDIT: Anything else, like maps needed per drop, is RNG and rng itself can just be crap.

I'm of the same opinion, the only thing that strikes me is that I'm currently on 4/9 codex and the last gold Lead was approx over 200 chests ago (and the only ones I can drop are gold, the others I have undig).
So that's why i started this thread if anyone who has hunted the codex inputs for the well, what are their experiences/strategies..

Sounds about right. The first time you get any lead it has a much higher chance to drop vs the second and third times, and from personal experience (have the whole codex learned btw) the second time dropping a lead takes the longest, and it's RNG whether that's a few days long, or months/years depending.
