@BelmontDrakul The “true intent” of the post is simply to get a penalty for anyone leaving a battleground. From what you wrote, I'm assuming that someone on your team left a battleground mid-match and it may have caused you a loss or headache, which is frustrating... I totally understand that, but you're not taking into consideration that a lot of people just crash or have an emergency and can't finish the battleground.
Your suggestion of imposing a 4 hour penalty on everyone in such cases is just cruel because it's something they have no control over. And let's face it, these days especially people crash all the time.
I personally crashed 3 times in a row in 3 bgs two days ago, which got me 2 half hour penalties. If they followed your suggestion, I'd have an 8 hour penalty in total now. In that case, it would be ridiculous of me to even try to play the game because most people don't even have the luxury of playing that long in a day.
I am well aware that there are also people who deliberately leave BGs because they don't like their team or don't want to be steamrolled etc. ... It's frustrating for their teams, but can you blame them for not continuing to play if they don't enjoy it? They already get a half-hour penalty. That's enough when you consider that people play games to enjoy them, not to suffer, so yes.
In conclusion, I think you let your emotions take over in this post, completely forgetting the rational side of the story, considering the conditions beyond anyone's control.

Half an hour is already to much, should not be punished for not wanting to stick around in a bad match. Should be 15 minutes tops.

I once queued for a match....got the "joining" message...was instantly booted back to where I was, and suffered a 20 minute penalty. 4 hours for a glitch seems...rough.

No they don’t lol. I don’t wanna play with people who are awful at the game. I’d rather the 30 min queue than the frustration that comes with my teammates dying every two seconds or charging into the other team with objectively better and sweatier players and then dying. [snip]
