Good day everyone,

I would like to be able to forge equipment for your companions too. It doesn't make sense, at least to me, why you can only forge equipment for yourself but not for your companion?

How about if you can forge normal companion equipment (as it is now) with perks, but there are special companion equipment that are only available for certain activities, for example repeatable quests, world bosses, etc. And special perks could perhaps increase that Flame damage will be x%.

What do you all mean?

Das Geschriebene Wort ist Silber, da es nicht jeder versteht.
Das Verschwiegene Wort ist Gold, da es keinen außer man selbst verletzt.

On the one hand, it would be nice for some players to forge at least green Companion equipment. On the other hand, it would add clutter to the crafting menu for something that wouldn't be used very often and replaces adventuring with them.

A Companion Mythic would be nice, or otherwise more interesting drops for them to wear.

I'm just wondering when we get legendary companion item drops other than the one ring.

It was the one ring to rule them all.

I get the feeling that after ZOS made it super easy to craft/reconstruct/transmute/upgrade all equipment types (including jewelry, which used to be unrealistically expensive to upgrade) they wanted something that had the old school grind attached to it — where you're relying on RNG to give you the correct equipment piece in the right weight and trait.

As it stands, the Infinite Archive is the most efficient way of getting purple Companion equipment (one guaranteed purple piece per box opened) and event boxes generally have favorable odds of including useful Companion gear inside when first opened with a Companion summoned.

I don't like the RNG attached to the Companion gear grind. Though, Companion combat isn't nearly as fundamental as player PvE/PvP combat, so I doubt Companion equipment will be anything more than an extra incentive for players to participate in content.

I've been getting companion gear (mostly purple jewelry and a few blue armor pieces) in the event coffer rewards from Galen and High Isle delves when turning in the dailies. No companions summoned at all.

On one hand it would be nice to just make companion gear. On the other, ugh, more traits to learn.

I wish ZOS would buff the other traits so they're worth using. I'd love to have more traits to learn because I've already learned everything on my crafter.

Though, that begs the question: What material would Companion equipment be made of? If Companions go up to Level 20, they probably wouldn't use Rubedite Ingots... would they use Steel Ingots, since that's the material for Levels 16 - 24? What trait materials would be made for the Companion gear traits? I wonder what material would be used to craft Quickened gear.
