Scripting questions I can't find anywhere

I look at my skills and it shows skill with a box next to them and it says I need to do a quest of a certain name but I can't find out how to do that quest and where to get it.

Are these quests in the new zone or from other zones. Anyone know anything about this?


I can't find anywhere that players are talking about this and this is not talked about on the script pages if websites saying they have a complete info.

It's bad enough that I can't get some scripting pages without doing group activities. I am a solo player for my own reasons so may never get them. Buying these script pages is just to expensive for me.

    These are skill styles, not scribing. Basically things like making your wall of elements purple.

    Look up skill style guides, not scribing guides, and you should be able to find what you're looking for.

    That box indicates that you can change the color/ style of that skill once you have acquired the corresponding Skill Style. You can find more information about Skill Styles on the UESP. That page also mentions how you can learn each style. Some will require doing group activities, though.

    You can get all scripts without doing any group activities.
    Non-group activity drops:
    Focus scrips - Daily Delve and Mages guild quests
    Signature scrips - World Boss quests and daily Fighter's guild quests
    Affix scripts - World event and daily Undaunted quests

    You get the scripts from the Undaunted Delve quests, not by doing pledges, so that's something you can do on your own. And you can easily participate in the World Events solo as well.

    If you mean the original base game zones, there aren't any World Boss dailies as far as I know. You can get the quest in Vvardenfell for example though, somewhere in Vivec City.

    for DLC zones you do the WB, delve, and incursion dailies for the 3 script types

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    Aren't the world boss quests for groups in the DLC zones?

    I can do the world bosses in the non-DLC but don't think I can do the other zones.
