[BG] How often do you check the new Competitive leaderboard?

There wasn't though? It has always been this broken. Heals have always been bugged to award too much medal score. Medal score itself has always been asinine in what it rewards (and what it completely ignores).

Wow, crazy since Kevin just only confirmed this "bug" the day after the update went live on PC. I guess maybe all the healers just magically started healing more and that's why there was such a sudden outburst, even from people claiming to be long-time BG players, about MMR and healers topping the leaderboards right after the update.

Oh, and this is the medal score explanation from in-game:

Once again, the Medic medal says 200 points yet in my picture of the BG scoreboard I was given 500. More than double.

The Medic medal has been giving 500 points for years lol.

Its the same way with the Critical Heal medal that gives 100 points instead of the 5 that the in-game explanation says.

This is not new with the team vs team BGs. It has been exactly the same way in the old BGs too.

Also healers have been dominating the BG leaderboards in the 4v4v4 as well, its just that back then nobody cared about getting on the leaderboards because you didnt get any meaningful rewards for it.

So it just took Zenimax years to acknowledge the bug? How lovely. Guess it's just the new two team format resulting in even lower medal scores for non healers and making the gap even bigger between them then (referring to players getting lower medal scores than before in general).

Yes, it took ZOS years to acknowledge it because this last patch revolved around the leaderboard system so they could no longer ignore it.

Damage Shields can also be more of a factor nowadays.

For example, you get points for taking damage in some of the modes.

But, it only counts damage to your health.

So, if you have damage shields on you that don't drop much you aren't going to be getting points for taking damage.

That is a part of why the screenshot that was posted showing the one team that won with under 1,000 points and the losing team all with over 1,000 points.

You get around 750 points in Domination just for taking 250k damage but, if your shielder stops you from taking the damage you don't get the points.

The map size can also be a factor as it's easier for people to spawn camp which doesn't reward points in objective modes.

This is actually funny. You win but don't even get enough medals (1000) for the BG quest. LOL
