Crafting Surveys QOL Improvement -> Stack Harvesting

No, I don’t want “alchemy bags” — if I want to spend the extra time to make sure one of the plants I want is there, that’s my choice. I think the surveys are fine the way they are. If you do writs on so many alts that you have stacks of them, that’s on you and you should have to put in the time to collect all the rewards.

Wow, I see this issue I'm having in my post really is an issue for others... Crafting is important... but for those who take it serious, we should be heard.

I do a lot of writs.

I have a lot of surveys.

I do NOT think there should be "stack harvesting" or "let our assistants do it".

ZoS can add a vendor that you can trade in your survey for the "non-survey" reward from writs, which varies from craft to craft.

I say this as somebody who can do writs on up to 60 characters a day... the changes proposed would take what is already one of the best ways to make gold and profit in this game (short of selling carries) into being completely and utterly overpowered.

And as you said... "those who take it (crafting) serious, we should be heard"

I am late to the discussion, but I also would not like to see this implemented. I do writs on 19 characters a day. I don't want an assistant and I don't want auto surveys.

If people could harvest their surveys instantly, I think the market for the materials would collapse.

Your assumption is based on the "people who get a lot don't do them". That is unlikely to be the case; I am pretty certain most people do them, but it takes away time from them doing other productive things that translate into them spending FUN time on the game. If the game is nothing but a chore, people leave and we all lose.

Yep, market might initially fall, mostly because of speculators doing the Chicken Little thing. Then, the initial price will drop, all the non-farmers will buy up big because they seem cheap, and they use them up... and then you are back to stable prices roughly near where they were.
