I agree with SiverBride. At one time they were sporadic and not back to back. Now when I log I get a notice an event starting like constantly.

I guess it depends on expectations?

During undaunted I used the extra curated drop from boxes to complete the sets from the latest dungeons and farm the motifs at the same time.

During the current event I have been running vLC back-to-back in the evening to complete the sets from that trial and I have managed to catch up with furniture plans as well (back to 100% until next patch).

To me repeating the same task over and over for something that is guaranteed (thus having a clear end in sight) feels much more rewarding than constantly being at odds with systems loaded with multiple layers of RNG that are actively trying to help themselves to all my time.

Well this event, I wouldn't say fun. I usually like farming, it's relaxing for me. But WW is not a great place for it. There aren't very many nodes and most of them have some sort of trash around them. Having to deal with the trash every 30 seconds makes the farming more of a chore. And everywhere I go there seems to be something in the way, a wall, a boulder, a root, water, and buildings I can't even enter. It's just hard to wander and just farm.

But I have gotten a lot of furnishing plans and styles/motifs from the containers. And all the double drops have really filled up my crafting needs. I'm averaging 3-4 kuta a day for example. This is good, very good.

I have to admit that there are some better rewards in these this time, I did get one purple furnishing plan and a few of the trial motif pages. I got my hopes up when I got a nice purple zone painting too, but no more after that. It’s just hard to get more than a dozen or so reward boxes a day, and maybe only one of them has something really good in them.

I do benefit from the luck of other players who sell their rewards in guild traders for a good price, though.

During this event, the drops for Shardborn Style motif and Lucent Sentinel Style motif were high enough that I was able to finish collecting all of them by selling duplicates and buying missing ones in guild trader for gold that I thought was reasonable. Same with the Tree-Sap Legion style pages. And I got a handful of West Weald treasure maps from drops. Oh, and double resource nodes.

Yes, I know that other events have been like this also. Still, I'm good with this West Weald event. Thanks, ZOS!

I didn't find the West Weald event to be boring at all. I accomplished a lot. Got so many mats from the nodes, completed two crafting motifs for the zone, got the music box and blacksmithing station antiquities, a mount from the event tickets and another from the event challenge reward box, a pet, attunable crafting stations.

    This was an awesome event!

Regarding harvesting, I don’t usually have trouble finding resource nodes in West Weald. I managed to find enough of the Ayleid Remnants each day, and ended the event with more than I needed, plus I got quite a few Fallen Leaves coffers with some nice rewards in them— occasionally a new style page, or a zone motif page, or a furnishing plan, etc.

I managed to get all of the style pages on my primary server without having to buy any with gold. I also managed to get all of them on my secondary server, but had to buy three of them with gold. I ended up giving away any duplicate pages I didn’t need once I’d acquired all of the pages.

And the event activities could usually be completed within an hour or less, depending on how much running around I needed to do for Ayleid Remnants or how long I had to wait for help with a WB, so it didn’t prevent me from doing all of my other usual daily activities plus endeavors.

In short, I felt like it was a successful event for me, especially since I had missed three days at the start of the event due to local power outages.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

Nobody is forced to run the event. I wanted to fill out my stickerbook for perfected gear from Lucent Citadel, so I liked it. A lot of other players did for the same reason. Frankly, I don't care if others found it tedious. To each their own.

The best part about this thread is that when ESO has an event where they give out rare gear or drops, people complain about that, too.

Rare drops aren't given out. The anniversary disaster showed us that an endless grind can be given out instead.
