Artic Blast rework is absurd trash

    Should be changed to this.

    Arctic Blast:

Envelop yourself in winter winds that persist for 20 seconds and chill your foes to the bone, dealing X Frost Damage every second that increases by 2% every second. The damage has increased chance to apply Chilled. Hitting Chilled enemies heals you for X health.

    What would this achieve:

It would turn it into a powerful AoE DoT that applies real pressure.

It would remove any and all desire to spam it as it would be counterintuitive to do so.

Heal would be a sustained heal rather than a burst heal. But strong enough that it would be effective when hitting multiple enemies or players.

Removes the stun completely and instead assign it to another skill.

    Where would the stun go?

    Frozen Slab:

Instantly launch a slab of ice at a target enemy dealing X Frost Damage and freezing them, stunning them for 6 seconds. The stun is increased to 8 seconds vs Chilled targets.

Then put the original morph of projectiles reflection mechanic on the other morph. It might make the other morph a little overloaded, but it’s rarely seen anyway and it would be hard to pass up on an instant stun.

OR...they could just revert the changes no one asked for?

"Damage shields," that only affect range attacks are outdated and should be changed to just a damage shield.
Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.

They don't revert stuff nearly ever.

Perhaps they saw too many players were using companions as DPS, and instead want you to use them as tanks or healers instead. I don't understand their logic at all, and even when they explain it, we're all like, "What?"

The thing about the Dev Comments.

ZOS used to make completely random, uncalled for balance changes a long while back. This prompted outcry from what used to be a formerly much larger/more active playerbase. In response, ZOS apologized and began adding comments under their changes to explain their reasoning.

Back then most dev comments made sense and used sound logic. Whenever changes were weird or went against their logic, players called it out via PTS feedback and we would often see adjustments made in response.
