That was my beef with these WB synergy fights as well. The NPC instructions couldn't be heard over the fight sounds and background music. Took some tinkering to address this.

I was getting the activate synergy prompt and eventually spotted where I had to stand.

And... it is finally done. Not sure if the boss was nerfed, or if I improved my build enough... or if I simply got better at playing.

Honestly, I just abandoned the quest. As a less-than-epic gamer, I have no reason to believe I'll ever be able to do something like that. Currently CP 425 with mostly Legendary gear, food, etc., and I was ridiculously easily killed every time.

I spent 3 hours on it, until husband joined me in the fight.

I discovered i could invite him, he was teleported directly on the boss platform.

And we made it together.

But if i know that my main account will never do it.

For people saying "harder overland combat", it's not. The overland combat is still stupidly easy, then you get to these boss fights where the difficulty curve ramps up a ridiculous amount. There's no pacing; it's faceroll easy then a brick wall. As someone else mentioned, there's so much going on with my companion and the effects (and red circles EVERYWHERE) which makes it hard to hear or figure out wtf you're supposed to be doing.

EDIT: This wasn't too bad once I adjusted the combat settings and read up on the mechanics. For combat settings, I needed to enable GAMEPLAY>COMBAT>CUSTOM COLORS
I toggled it to ON then, most importantly, I slid the brightness slider all the way to the right. That helps a lot with being able to find Meln's green circle to activate ghost sight or whatever he calls it. As for mechanics, I thought the clone lasers were healing the boss rather than murdering me. More importantly, when I saw the clones' channeling red indicators, I assumed I needed to rush to them and interrupt them ASAP. Turns out I could mostly ignore the channeling and just kill the clones.

I died twice last night on the 1st phase and rage quit. Today, after the above prep, I completed it on the first attempt.

I laughed when I saw this post. In June 23 I was on the pts trying to finish the main story line when I got to the last boss and tried for a week to kill her. I failed and then I deleted the pts and decided not to buy the chapter.

I eventually picked it up on 67% off package that included high isle and all the previous deluxe editions at the end of the year.

I finally got around to doing it when I bought Gold Road at the last minute.

And today I gave up again. I tried 20 times to kill the boss and get cut down every time.

I never saw any markers on the floor and only saw the green circle once and while I tried to get in the green circle the crossed beams of death got me.

I understand the last boss should be hard but when the mechanics don't work it's impossible for me at least.

It shouldn't be this way. Now I feel I wasted my money on buying this even thought it was at a steep discount.

I did get a real laugh out of coming on the forum to read about this fight and seeing my own post from a year ago saying it was what drove me to delete the PTS (which I did and haven't used it again) and stopped me from buying the chapter.

I wouldn't have bought this chapter except it came in a big package as this chapter really did suck.

Ten years this is the first I couldn't complete.

I don't know how the story ends. If anyone remembers how it end could just give me a hint of the end I would appreciate it. I have looked online but all the threads are a year old and don't say. Thank you in advance.

You ppl should take a step back and craft some gear of your level, put in some more resistance, armor buffs, and then try those fights again. Those fights are extremely easy, maybe you are doing some mechanics wrong, or you should review your character's build and use more resistance and health. Overland is boring and easy, you shouldn't complain about it, or the developers will ruin it more

i do have gear of my level and was using my companion
was only able to defeat the final Boss after i asked a friend to help me, and even then we spent around 15 minutes fighting
