Why can’t werewolves crouch / stealth?

Seems only logical that an apex predator would know a little bit about sneaky around.

    Even if you could it’d be kinda useless, cause you wouldn’t really have anytime to do anything. Duration is pretty short…

    You can actually stay in ww form for a pretty good chunk of time

    I wrote a pretty hefty thread about it here:

    Werewolves absolutely should be allowed to sneak, and not just for PvE reasons like completing the Thieves Guild Heists without Invisibility potions or Dark Brotherhood Sacraments without accruing a bounty (due to not having an assassination ability in stealth), or for completing content like March of Sacrifices from beginning to end without needing to drop form because the Tarcyr fight and the method to become immune to the consequences of not sneaking require the player to sneak.

    In PvP, Werewolves can't utilize sets like Sentry, Darloc Brae, or have the ability to toggle Spaulder of Ruin while in form. Nightblade Werewolves can't utilize their stealth passives (like Master Assassin) in Werewolf form due to not being able to sneak in the first place. Werewolf Ganker builds require potion cooldown builds with Invisibility potions to be remotely comparable to the ability to sneak on demand.


    On a more positive note, it has been acknowledged by ZOS in the past (several times) that players would like the ability to sneak in Werewolf form:

    Maybe it'll become a reality if we get a Hircine-themed Chapter and the Werewolf skill line gets an update, like how the Wolfhunter DLC gave Werewolves the ability to revive allies.
