    To the OP....

Maybe you cannot fathom who purchases these houses and how they finance that purchase, but I will give you an example (which you may or may not believe, as is your option):

My 34 year old daughter has 14 herniated disks in her back and a rare form of diabetes that is extremely uncontrollable. Because of this, she is mostly bed-ridden and most of life's pleasures that she had before are now not available to her. She saved her crowns from ESO plus for almost a year so she could buy the next home she fancied. Yesterday, she was able to get Willow Pond and will now be able to decorate another house- which is one of the few pleasures that is still available to her! It was worth it to her!

You're clearly not familiar with the housing community in ESO.

We can take a large scale house and re-skin/customise it, block off areas etc. We like it, and plenty of folks who then visit our homes like it too.

I know that it's common for some to block off areas of the larger homes, but this is something I would never feel comfortable doing. I like to work with what is there, and sometimes I do expand on the structures, but I never block off any portion.

I'm just the opposite, I'll look at the very large homes, look at how I can block off areas and still have a cool looking place. :)

I've blocked off areas at the Grand Psijic Villa and The Gorinir Estate where you wouldn't recognize them the moment you stepped in and my guildies love them. I agree with many of the comments in here about the size and cost, some are just too large in my opinion and the cost is outrageous, sometimes I really wonder what they are thinking.
Everyone is going in one direction, I'm going the other direction
