You're trying to tell us that 10k damage spread out over 4 seconds (after a long setup on a specific build with an obvious visual telegraph) is too much to reasonably handle in this 40k hp meta?

The in-game death recaps are garbled nonsense that serve only to confuse casual or inexperienced players. Please use Combat Metrics (CMX) addon if you want to actually understand or prove anything.

2-3 gcds is a long setup according to you. And no, if the target already has 12-15 debuffs, no "long setup" required as well.

Have you actually played against these builds in non-cp environment?

    Maarselok is not a problem.

Because you are already using it?

    No.

So why does it matter to you? Have you played against someone using it in no-cp?

Yes, all the time in BGs.

It matters because you don't need to nerf Maarselok. You need to nerf Elemental Susceptibility giving a lot of negative effects with around 50% uptime for literally no cost.

You won't find a Maarselok build without Ele Sus, well you won't find many builds without it, but it's what has enabled Maarselok from being an unused set to top of the meta with no changes.

Why nerf a set that received no changes, because of something else which is overperforming.

I did find many using it without ele sus as well. The damage remained the same. It should only count self-applied negative effects.
