I can agree that the tutorial is wildly insufficient. It’s enough to explain the process of taking a turn, and what you need to win. And that’s it? Really? They don’t bother to tell you all the different card types and effects, and it’s so confusing trying to figure it all out during the game. I’m not asking for strats or hand holding after that first tutorial, but it seems like the most basic of necessities to actually tell us what the cards do.
Had no idea what's up after tutorial (which itself is terrible and voiced by character with funny accent for extra difficulty).

I like brahgas's accent a lot, and if you think it is hard to understand, you haven't experienced how people of african nations pronounce english words and sentences - they often pause in the middle of a word to continue much later, whilst not repeating the whole word, but continuing with just the remaining rest of the word like
"We will all parti" ---- yeah, we will all party, good to hear --- "-cipate in these games."
"With damage in the mill" --- oh, there is a mill, didn't know that -- "-ion dollars range."
If you think Brahgas's accent is terrible, you haven't heard really terrible ones yet. Not saying that african accents would be terrible, they are not, they are just different.
The tutorial is terrible, and the first few matches are about figuring out what is actually happening.... but after a dozen or so matches, it becomes a lot of fun actually.
At first I felt the same as you OP, I believe my reply about this is still in the ToT forum category somewhere, but don't give up too easily. Do the triple town daily for a few days, and it all becomes easier and easier to understand. Matches will go faster too.
