New update books - rare or bugged?

Greetings, i want say something about new books.

I was interested in 3 books from zones Clockwork City, Northern Elsweyr and Summerset. This ones:

The UESP site says, this books drops from "Treasure chests", as saying in description of in-game item, so i ran around 14 zones and bought more than 100+ treasure maps for Summerset, 100+ for Clockwork City and near 10+ for Northern Elsweyr.

On Northern Elsweyr, after 5-10th map i got the "Trail and Tide" from chest

Then i started to active farm Clockwork, and after 100+ used treasure maps i got only 27 duplicates of 2 books from 4 possible:

And from Summerset from 100+ maps i got directly nothing, 0 books from 4 possible.
So i have only 3 explanation of it:

1. I was SUPER unlucky, like 0.04% of this can be happen, which statistically almost impossible, and i mean only Clockwork City, expecially if remember, that i got "Trail and Tide" from 5-10th try in Northern Elsweyr and 0 from Summerset from 100+ tryings, If we count all books with an equal chance of dropping and all conditions also completed.
2. Some of this in-game books have incorrect description, and u can get it from some other sources, but not from treasure chests.
3. Its just bugged, and somehow, some books you can get from treasure chests, and some - not. And this bug not allow me to get books i really want for my house.

So a question - Is someone ever had books:

This is the important take away from that linked thread:

We checked on this, and everything looks to be set up correctly on the back-end. We're still doing a bit more investigation just in case to ensure it's dropping, though. The team wanted to note that you do need to have read the book in order to find it in a chest. Do you know if you've done that?

Yes, i agree and appeciate both answers, its non-obvious, strange and even illogical mechanics, but after i read this books and added it in my collection, i started getting them from chests (with previous books also, which was already read)

I also can say in addition, that if u need directly one book, better read only it, instead of start reading everything, its also not good to players, who was farming eidetic memory for collection or from boredom, because from chest u will get only books from learned pool. As example, if u read only 1 from 4 - will drop only this direct book, if more than 1 - will be random one from this learned books.

I have received in Elsweyr Khunzar-ri and the Lost Alfiq

Journal of Tsona-Ei Part one from Coldharbour.

None from Clockwork and i have all the books and None from Summerset Yet.

i wish these lorebook furnishings were not bound

i have about 30 of them from the archive at this point and i have no use for them, so i just started making stacks of books because i cant sell them

pretty soon that table they are on is going to look worse than moras archives lol

Same, I have them in my antiquarians gallery on tables, on beds, piled up on shelves, they are all over the place

Can add u in friendlist and visit your house and watch this books? If i understood correct, to drop this books u need to have it in your collection, but i wasn't sure u can do it not only by Overworld. Me a PC EU player.

the only books ive been getting are the ones from the archive, i dont really have any other books

im also on PC NA so i wont be able to help in that regard either lol

a huge amount of stuff from the archive is bound, actually makes it annoying

like its still dropping the collectible items after i finished them, but i am unable to trade them because they are bound, and i cant sell or use them, but i dont really want to delete them just yet in case they fix it down the road

I feel like more has been bound on acquire of late, which to me only makes sense for things tied to completing achievements, definitely not random drops.

The EA merchant, Filer Ool, sells two different books each week for 1000 EA currency each, so long as your character has read them. I think you get 1700 for completing the first arc plus the daily (+10% if you’re ESO+).

If you’re on PC NA, I’m happy to help people through the first arc — message me here or in game and we can find a time.

The annoying thing with the vendor is that it's 2 seemingly random books per week, and there's like 65 total that they added. So I'm potential waiting 8 months for all the books that I want for specific houses.

There hasn't been any of the books I'm looking for in the vendor yet.

In about 50 runs of the archive I've gotten one book drop. And it wasn't one of the ones I wanted.

Not sure if you're aware, however I don't believe that the book furnishings will drop for you if you haven't read the book somewhere else in the game. My main has most of the books in the game read, so I get a boatload of furnishing book drops as I grind through IA.
