Endless Archive FYI: Being transformed disables armor sets.

Happened to me on several occasions. Being transformed into a watcher, goat, etc disables your gear stats and effects, and they will remain disabled until you take off one piece of each set and re-equip it.

Only noticed oakensoul being disabled because very noticeable. Now I'll need to double check the rest of my gear. Honestly this might explain some of the deaths I've had.

I was writing about this in another thread but yeah this is currently happening in EA. I lost the buff from my monster piece after the watcher portal as well. Something about the transformation is bugging out the set bonuses.

is the impact visible on your character sheet or list of active buffs? or do you have to guess if impacted and just strip/re-dress?

I guess it would depend, for me the only bonus that was missing was major resolve from my monster set, so my resistances were lower and I could easily tell from the character screen. I think it would be a good idea to screenshot your stats before you start a run, and then re-check them after a watcher portal, and also unslot and reslot one piece from each set of your gear just in case. I just unslotted and reslotted my helm piece after the portal, and the bonus showed up again.

It disables procs from proc sets, too. That's how I realized that something was not right, as I was meeting the conditions, but they were not firing. I was able to replicate it by being transformed again, and procs were disabled again.

Removing one piece of a set (or your mythic) and re-equipping resets it.

I didn't post it in the Bug Report section, because we have no way of knowing if this is working as intended, as ZOS has said zero about it since it was first reported at the beginning of the PTS. Could be part of the Update that they just didn't tell us about. We wouldn't know if it's a bug until they confirm it as such.

I realize now that my earlier comment might have come off as sarcastic. I mean to say that dying and reviving at a wayshrine or from a wipe in an instanced area seems to also cause sets to stop working. I noticed this most obviously with the Oakensoul Ring in Sunspire after the usual swim in the lava on a farm run and after losing a thread in Endless Archive.

I wasn't aware of this. I was running Oakensoul and two full armour sets. I got several transforming unknown portals in my runs. I thought I was just playing rubbish... that may still be the case! Will have to keep an eye on them for my next attempt.

The same can also occur if you die apparently, it's just not every time. The stacking buff from heavy attacks quit working afterwards. The only way to resolve it is to remove the gear and equip it again.

The goat bug hit me and another player I was running EA with today.

We went into a unknown portal right before the Tho'at fight at arc 1. I arrived at the butchery but she was at Tho'at instead. I ran the goat bit, beat the butcher and was stuck as a goat. No loot, no extra verse, and no portal.

I ported out of the instance, turned back into a human and ported back in. But when I tried to re-join my companion it took me back to the goat area and turned me back into a goat again. I ran it again and this time let him kill me. That triggered me changing back and the portal opening. My friend, however, had decided to relog to see if that fixed it. I went through the portal to Tho'at, she came back online but now she was in a goat form. She had a normal skill bar but was stuck as a goat for the entire run. From her point of view she appeared to be human, it was only me seeing her as a goat.

When we went into another unknown portal and got turned into watchers, it turned her into that without a problem but when it turned her back she was a goat again.

Amusing and I took the opportunity to snap a few screen shots like this one of a goat facing the dragon (because I can't seem to go a run without pulling one of those). Naturally I was dead.
