I agree, its shocking it doesn't have it, all it did was prove to me why pvp isn't worth the time and the daily xp bonus isn't worth the headache of a one sided battle

Eso is hosted server side. This means that your commands are sent to the server, then processed by the server, then they happen in game. This is very different than a game that is hosted locally/peer to peer where there is no intermediary server that checks the validity of commands.

This means you can't manipulate damage done or received, because such commands to the server would definitely be flagged by the server.

What's more likely is that their health was desynced. To them they had ~5-10k health but to you they were empty. This happens very often with the amount of effects being calculated on a player in a given second, and is more common the more stuff is happening.

It happens to everyone the other way once in a while. You're duking it out, you have like 16k health and then you're dead. Recap shows no spike in damage.

This was an issue before Arcanist came around. It was not unusual to blast another player down (almost TOO easily) only to see them survive and hit back like a truck. I don't think its cheating, I think its a desync common with bow builds and DKs, and the skills you will see a lot of in the recap are Magnum Shot or the DK whip.

This even happens in PvE - dungeons....

Please please people stop saying it’s lag or a desync. They are exploits. I already submitted tickets to ZOS on one for sure way to go to zero health and survive, I submitted how to do it with video and screen shots. There is a way to do it without messing with code that most players would honestly do it without realizing they did it. But what I have been seeing is people manipulating the exploit to full blown cheat. Hopefully ZOS will fix it.

If you have NVIDIA, download GeForce Experience for free. Then enable to shadowplay function and clip it. It will save last five minutes if you enable it.

@DUTCH_REAPER not disagreeing with you, and this might expose the little I know about coding, but this happens on the PS NA server frequently. I don't know how feasible it is for someone to crack a code to cheat on a console. Probably possible, as it was with GTA on PS3 prior to PS4 coming out, but I don't know how widespread it could be to account for the times it pops up in BGs

If there's a non desync issue, it's an exploit, not actual hacking. No reason for people to assume this points to hacking

Funny thing is I used to belong to some Discords where players would openly talk about bugged sets and how to exploit mechanics. If you think those one or two players are too good to be true, just know that they are talented, but they are likely using something shady as well. It was surprising to me to see these same players post whispers from others accusing them of cheating, and yet openly talk about doing stuff that didn’t involve player skill.

I was in Cyrodiil last night on my StamSorc and decided to participate in the PvP action.

In one fight we (DC) were duking it out with a few AD players, and as I went charging in to swing at one of them (expecting to get killed) they did something and my client froze up for a few seconds. I'm not suggesting they deliberately did anything to try to make my game freeze, but whatever skill or proc they were using may have overloaded my graphics card, or led to some other kind of desync or freeze. Those few seconds seemed like eternity as I waited to see if I was about to get disconnected, or wake up dead due to being attacked while unable to react, or what. When my game finally unfroze, I was still alive and still at nearly full health. I was wondering what it looked like to the other DC and AD players.

A while later, we were duking it out with several EP players who were holed up inside a building or shed near one of the keep's resources. I went charging into the building expecting to get wiped by all of the EP, but somehow I managed to stay alive-- at least for several minutes-- and I was able to help the other DC players kill a few of the EP players before I finally died and had to respawn at the keep. I'm pretty sure a large part of that was because of healers on our side, because I saw my health going up and down pretty quickly a few times, so presumably our healers were doing their best to counteract the massive AOE DOTs that the EP players were using. Thank you, thank you, thank you, healers!

Anyway, sometimes when I decide to participate in Cyrodiil-- which is not a usual thing for me-- I'm often amazed at being able to survive as well as I (sometimes) can, and it makes me wonder if desync and lag can work for you as well as against you. If there's no obvious lag, I tend to die more quickly. But when there's a bit of lag, it seems like my survivability goes up.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

Please please stop accusing people of cheating. There might be ways to exploit that,(i dont know of any) but by far the majority of people you see like that are not going to be doing that on purpose or its simply going to be a health desync (those have existed in the game forever and really arent rare).

Also btw there is a difference between someone exploiting ingame bugs/mechanics and someone who is actually cheating.
There are certainly people who do exploit, though in most cases that is not going to be to get actual combat advantages and more to try to do something "funny".
However in the 7+ years i have been playing ESO, with most of my game time being spent in PvP, i think i encountered less than 10 players who i might have suspected of cheating and i wouldnt have been able to prove it for any of them.

Cant take people who claim others are cheating seriously tbh. From personal experience 99+% of those are just going to be people who dont properly understand the game and call anyone better than them a cheater.

    PvP cheats do exist.
Many players have witnessed and reported cheaters in Cyrodiil, but ZoS doesn't seem to be able to fix them.
For example, cheats such as "dive into the ground" or "fly high into the air" are indistinguishable from "invisibility potion" at first glance.
And Cyrodiil has cheaters who use cheats to steal scrolls.
I doubt that ZoS has any anti-cheat measures.

Send me a functional and useful cheat table for ZOS: The Elder Scrolls online, and I'll believe you

Now, there totally are some scripters out there. I have seen my fair share of uncanny dodges when there is nothing going on or way to much stuff going on to dodge at that so crucial moment, and there's one arcanist on PC NA that never dies and will follow you around corners with destro staff aoe spam forever. I do not believe those are legitimate displays of skill.
