They told us in the road map or whatever it's called that q3 is just big fixes and qol stuff. This is actually pretty awesome this year they are really showing strides imo. We shall see how they go from here

Well they also said all in one crafting station and new group finder but those were pushed back to q4. Sad these were the most worthwile addition in this patch

Wait these was pushed back? When was that?
If this is all that will come in the Q3 update, then I don't consider this to be a update worthy of an entire Q. Dare I even say this has less effort and content in it then the usual Dungeon DLC we woul have got instead. I was hoping more QoL things would be added over time until release, which we will have to see about, but if it's pushed like this? Not okay.

I had hopes when they said they'd take some time for QoL and bug fixes. It's a step in the right direction, but it needs to be more. Most of these, while I do agree are nice, seem like they are simply just adding an extra line of code here and there to change a thing or two and calling it QoL

Apparently they got pushed back as of today. I don't think there was any talk of them pushing it back prior to the stream, and that's just for the crafting station. I didn't hear anything about the group finder though, but one would assume it's now a part of U40 as well.

With the lack of anything noteworthy, QoL and Bugfix wise, you can understand why people are disappointed in this patch. The majority of these fixes seem so minor that they would be a random page in any other title update. People were expecting fixes to things like BG scoreboard, Falkreath Hold resetting because of pets, the interact bug, the break free bug, or stuck in combat. Instead it was mainly typos, map pins, and small animations for objects or npcs during dialogue.

I thought I was the only one who expected a bit more but hey we get new 100 Euro houses, this is superb, right? Right?
Gosh am so glad I cancled my sub and didn't buy Necrom, this game isn't worth it for me anymore.

Yeah, I totally get this. Increasingly, playing this game feels like a waste of my time. I expected very little and they still delivered less than that. I've not given this company a penny since they refused to acknowledge a major companion bug back in April. I'm waiting for my sub to run out for the first time in years - there's just nothing to look forward to for me. This patch looks like mostly busy work, the gaming equivalent of reorganising the deckchairs on the Titanic.

I didn't buy Necrom and don't regret that at all. A couple of the group changes seem ill thought-out. Apart from that, I'll appreciate most of the other changes in this update -provided they don't break other things.

The pvp quest update seems a bad idea because it basically punishes people for not being in a guild group or hardcore pvpers.

I expected this patch to focus on long-standing minor issues that have been put on the back burner way too long because there's always a bigger fish to fry. QOL typically denotes things that are smaller for the user but increaseS the usability of the game. It was more or less what I expected, minus the all-in-one being pushed to Q4.

    Certainly expected more QoL stuff.

Well, any, really. For an entire update dedicated to QoL, there doesn't seem to be more here than in any other update. Same for bug fixes.

I'm fine with them releasing one less DLC per year, if that means they'll make better/more varied DLC in the long run. Just don't tell me this update is something that it isn't.

Pretty underwhelming. Looks like any other update with no added content. In case you didn't know, ZOS you dropped the ball again here. Hyped up bug fixes and QOL. Sure, bug fixes, but most are pretty minor if I am being honest. The main QOL is people spending more money on Antiquity Skill Line. Sad.

Don't know about anyone else, but I can feel the energy/resources being pulled from ESO for ZOS other new project. All we get is bug fixes that honesty should have been fixed anyway and no really major important fixes. And QOL that cost real money to gain. Guess the 3rd quarter Crafting Stations and the Group finder was moved to 4th quarter. Not that you know it by reading the patch notes. Mediocrity at best in my opinion.

    Stay safe :)

Give them a chance. They can't put everything into the first QoL update.

(still want to be able to pat Scritches the dog!)

    This was the chance, though

To do what? Put in ALL the changes you wanted to see? Did you really expect them to put everything into U39?

I see a lot of complaining on the forums about how buggy the game is. U39 fixes a lot of bugs. As for QoL improvements, different players want different things. I'm happy with what's there. It's a good start. I certainly wasn't expecting everything in this one patch.

The bugs filling thread after thread in this forum are mostly being unaddressed in this update. A couple of posts above are some of these numerous annoyances. And there are many more.

Don't get me wrong. I welcome all fixes to broken content and I appreciate the devs finally taking the time to iron theor code. However, U39 will not change the perception of TESO being a buggy mess since major bugs will still be around after this update went live.

It was our fault for assuming that due to the lack of any substantial content for Q3 this time around, that those changes would be massive in quantity.

Here we are with no new DLC and patch notes that look and sound like any other update.

I am hoping a lot of "bug fixes" are either scheduled for the next few weeks or didn't get included in the patch notes. After reading the patch notes, I am wondering if they even dented the defect backlog.
Trust me they NEED an update dedicated to bug fixes long overdue and way to many buggy dlcs. I do wish they used it to fix more of the bigger bugs but hopefully next time they get fixed.

Many more cyrodiil and specific dungeon bugs could have been fixed rather than just quest bug fixes. The combat bug being the most pressing.

Maybe they will do this next year...

Here are some quotes from ZOS each of the last few patches regarding the number of combat and gameplay changes.

Update 39 Patch notes: “We have some targeted balance adjustments too, of course, but the list is quite short compared to other updates”

Update 38 patch notes: “We mainly keep large scale changes out of the chapter”

Update 37 patch notes: “this update is more targeted with its adjustments, rather than widespread”

Update 36 also brought very minimal class changes.

I just want to know when they are going to actually do some work on the class design and gameplay. If you added up all the class changes from the last four updates, that *might* be on par with other MMO balance notes for one patch.

All they have to do is data mine these forums and they will find out what we really want.

I am constantly posting what I think they need to do in this game, but here are a couple that I can think of right now:

    - New Characters have option to turn off Account Wide Achievements (still not forgiven for forcing this on us all)
    - More storage! More pack and bank slots, more chests for in homes
    - Class change tokens

I don't mind the reduction of new content as I was not keeping up anyway, but if you are going to promote QOL improvements, then let's get something on that list that everyone can appreciate!

At first I was also underwhelmed with the listed amount of bug fixes. But maybe, just maybe, the next week PTS update and patch notes will contain another set of new bugfixes and the week after even more? Bugfixes can be added in the coming weeks, right?

Regarding QoL updates, there is indeed not that much that feels like a full replacement for not getting two new dungeons.

Technically bug fixes can be considered a QoL-feature.

Honestly, I was expecting 40 to 50 pages of "we correct spelling and grammar errors in lore books and conversations"

Part of me is disappointed we didn't get more, part of me is relieved we didn't get more.

Sometimes what people think is a positive QoL change is actually a negative one to others.

That's what I was initially thinking, but I am all out of hopium. Was getting burned out of this game for a while and this patch was the final nail in the coffin.

They're not going to give us more bank slots/storage to purchase with gold because that's what drives ESO+ subscriptions.

IIRC they've said they will not do class change tokens because they don't want to further encourage meta-hopping every patch. (I.e. everyone switches their character to Dragon knight while it is the OP class, then once DK gets nerfed switch their character to whatever the new OP class is).
