It was our fault for assuming that due to the lack of any substantial content for Q3 this time around, that those changes would be massive in quantity.

Here we are with no new DLC and patch notes that look and sound like any other update.

In previous years sometimes normal Q3 updates with dungeons have more QoL changes than this. But in Q4 instead od new zone we will get endless dungeons which will be probably the same effort like Vateshran Arena with Markarath zone but without Markarath zone :D

They told us in the road map or whatever it's called that q3 is just big fixes and qol stuff. This is actually pretty awesome this year they are really showing strides imo. We shall see how they go from here

Combat changes, bug fixes and QOL adjustments - I just simply mean I expected something more substantial from QOL adjustments than stacking crown store items and being able to buy excavation and scrying on the crown store . . . what about a furnishing bag? The all-elusive/controversial class change token? More in game earnable mounts to revitalize old content? Idk - from a studio making as much money as they are and not having to make any new dungeons or any zone content for the rest of the year I just expected at least 1 "wow" feature. Nothin :/

Well they also said all in one crafting station and new group finder but those were pushed back to q4. Sad these were the most worthwile addition in this patch

I knew it was going to be a bug fix patch but I'm still disappointed. A lot of these bug fixes are just minor fixes to a lot of old quests. While it's good to see them fixed, I feel like the more problematic bugs should've been fixed first, like the interact bug that randomly happens that forces you to bar swap, or the fact that break free is broken in terms of animation and it not showing your next 2 animations afterwards. These aren't even listed under known issues either. If this was supposed to be their first impression with a dedicated patch for bug fixes, they missed the mark imo.

please don't tell me you expected a class change token.

    gina said this in February

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you all know that we do not have any plans on implementing class changes tokens at this time. There are a number of technical challenges with implementing them, and it would take a significant amount of time to solve these challenges efficiently and safely.

and i dont think it's wrong to assume a significant amount of time is at the very least multiple years. if they even want to do it.

and they are making an endless dungeon, which we know very little about. update 40 isn't the same as 39.

No - not necessarily assuming that, just something of that size being added is what I was hoping for for update 39. Update 40 sounds great! Wasn't the point I was trying to make. I just expected at least 1 or 2 BIG QOL changes that the community has really been asking for, and we didn't get any of that.

Right but considering that this patch was aimed at QoL stuff, I think it would be fair to expect a lot more QoL changes than what are in the patch notes. Not to mention combat and gameplay changes for the non arcanist classes are almost non existent going all the way back to u35.

There are plenty of bug fixes mentioned in the patch notes, but I personally expected more QoL changes that actually make game life better. And while the changes to the quest markers/givers/level restrictions probably what is needed for new players so they are not too overwhelmed, they feel more of a hindrance when creating an new toon for long time players.

I don't care what they add or fix. Unless there is a fix for the constant 'endless' loading after clicking on a toon or just outright losing a connection to the server for whatever reason you'll have a bunch of po'd players.

Tbh these "bug fixes" just feel like filler to make it sound like theyre doing a lot. Especially after "30+ pages of bug fixes" was getting thrown around.

Large majority of these fixes i feel are for quests that people either didnt know were bugged (nor cared about), compared to actual bug fixes such as stuck on combat which has been a problem since forever at this stage. I just dont get zos and honestly feels like its more shadow and mirrors bullcrap while they milk us for money.

So much for being a QoL update hahaha

I hope they revert this change if you're not in a group because it's very hard to get a group in Cyrodiil now so this quest I will never end up doing:
The Conquest Board “Kill Players” quest is now group shared. To counterbalance the rapid progress of this quest during certain PvP engagements, the number of kills required has been increased from 40 to 150.

Definitely not a Quality of Life update.

@ZOS_Kevin could you tell the devs to include these changes to the following achievements?

    Murmire Prologue: Cyrodilic Collection Agent
Reduce the amount for completion to 20 (lower will be better)

Elsweyr Prologue: Elsweyr Defense Force Hero
Reduce the amount for completion to 20 (lower will be better)

I'd rather have the Crafting Stations and the Groupfinder stuff done right than done poorly, and I'm not at all surprised that groupfinder was delayed, but it does look rather sparse without them.

It's lots of little things, but no one big ticket to hang their hat on.

Tbh I'm a bit disappointed. For me the "big bugfix & qol-patch" missed it's goal. I was hoping that finally some of the gamebreaking or contentbreaking bugs will be adressed.
There are major bugs, existing for years, that make a lot of content so much harder and sometimes even impossible. Here are a few examples:

-> Castle Thorn Aoe-bug at last boss
-> Vdsr HM bugs: invisible mechanics at 1st boss, double-wave-bug at last boss etc.
-> invisible and into terrain clipping poison-aoe's at Oaxiltso in Vrg Hm
-> the "stamina-bug" that insta-drains all your stamina and then prevents you from casting any skills, LA's or HA's
    -> the getting-stuck-in-HA-bug
-> invisible Aoe's in the last stage of Falgravn-fight in Vka Hm
-> annoying sound-bugs in Sunspire and Dreadsail reef
-> the current antiquity bug with the Necrom musicbox, that corrupts your leads and therefore breaks the antiquity system
-> the permanent-debuff bug in Cyrodiil = everlasting debuffs: debuff-timer is always at 0 but never wears off while still applying the debuff on you. This is possible with every debuff
-> the combat-bug in Cyrodiil, even after death
    And many many more...

In my opinion those gamebreaking bugs should be heavily prioritised over things like overwhelming questmarkers or wrong camera-angles while talking to NPCs. The community wanted a bugfix-patch without content so that the devs could put more resspurces into those major bugs, that were haunting the community for years.

Dont get me wrong, any bugfixes - even the smaller ones - are important, but seeing that none of the big problems was adressed is really disappointing.

I never fell for the maintenance mode spiel naysayers go on about, but considering how almost all of the bug fixes are minor filler, I'm starting to believe them.

Trust me they NEED an update dedicated to bug fixes long overdue and way to many buggy dlcs. I do wish they used it to fix more of the bigger bugs but hopefully next time they get fixed.

Many more cyrodiil and specific dungeon bugs could have been fixed rather than just quest bug fixes. The combat bug being the most pressing.

I mean, it really wasn't that bad at all. They told us way back in January or something that's what Q3 was going to be and honestly, we got more than I thought. No arguments here besides not enough attention going to Necromancer.

Honestly, not mad at these patch notes... they were good.

I'm pretty happy with the list of changes in U39, there's some very nice updates there, e.g. event tickets, crown store item stacking, even adding antiquities skill line to crown store, and more. As others said, they can't fix everything in one update.

That's great if you can get in a group. If your running solo/duo because you can't get in a group then getting 150 kills is going to take a hell of a lot longer then a hour.

This change will not improve quality of life.
