Why did the stealth class get so messed up

Stamina knight-blades have very little advantage from other classes in stealth and wood elves get screwed with their passives making it doubly painful. The one stealth advantage is a constant pain for me having to renew it every few seconds.
It seems that I take more damage that other classes and don't do that much damage than any other class.
Magicka knight-blades do have the magic to keep the invis (not my stamina build) up but is still a big pain to use.

Klingenlied✭✭✭✭Stealth is incredibly powerful in PvP. To an extend, I'd even say there should not be any kind of class stealth in the game in it's current form. Not saying stealth can not work in PvP. I think its perfect for getting the first strike. But the problem in ESO is that it is possible to stay in stealth even when you manage to hit the player - so you can not force him out of stealth with damage or debuffs easily. That's the reason why the best Nightblades can be so survivable - movement, positioning, smart build & bar setup and stealth.
So that pretty much is the reason it "can't be even more powerful / useful / longer".
But let me tell you one secret. You can go full max stamina, use melee weapons and only have like 15k mag and still spam your stealth. Just throw in some light armor and go for magica regeneration. Helps a lot. Or try thinking outside the box. Breton stamina nightblade? Can be hella efficient actually right now!1 -

lol. nightblades literally are buffed every update. There is no balance in eso. its all about the night blade in pvp.3 -

nightblades are insanely overtuned. Easiest class to play, an on hand projectile negate, cleanse, and you can choose when you want to fight and how you want to fight. Stealth sucks in this game.1 -

If the game cant balance itself around the basic class fantasy of it's setting then the game has failed.
Nightblades, as described in ES:
"Nightblades are spellcasters who use their magics to enhance mobility, concealment, and stealthy close combat."
Nightblades are stealthy. If people are seriously considering sword and boarding with a nightblade, then ESO has lost sight of what these classes are even meant to be about. Why even call it a nightblade at that point?
No one is saying there aren't multiple interpretations of the lore, and we're not arguing that ESO did it "wrong".
We're arguing that they decided to go for the most boring, mundane, seen-before interpretation possible. Like they almost always do, unless they can ride on the coat-tails of past games.3 -

Disagree. NBs in Cyro constantly spamming invis potions, hiding and you can’t hit them, DKs stand there in plain view, take your damage and then beat the crap out of you. How does that make NBs stronger?

✭✭✭Nah NB is fine. I logged on NB which I haven’t played in 4 YEARS and got a 1v5 within the first 15 minutes this patch. I didn’t run an optimized build either. I just threw whatever skills I liked on my bars lol. They buffed this class so much you literally have to try to actually die.
Also I find it weird that there are still people complaining about cloak being weak. The current cloak is much more reliable than old cloak. You just need to stop crutching on it and build some tankiness in case they run detect pots/flares.
