Using this kind of logic, the sorc nerfs were justified because of a few variables that could be abused with it, so they went ahead and chose the nuclear option. What we need are more sledgehammer changes obviously.
how can you defend a build that one shots with a heavy attack? good riddance imo.

One shot heavy builds were already killed; they gutted Molten Armaments already. Nerfing Empower wasn't needed to kill those builds. Empower is now worthless in PvP, and with it, many many many skills are now worthless in PvP. It was a baffling change that wasn't needed.

Being able to accomplish much with heavy attacks seems to be fine for accessibility in PvE, but they probably rather not have the ease of just holding down the left mouse button for PvP. They just let cheese, in general, go on too long, and then players think what they are doing is somehow being good. It is not.
Oh no you can't get carried by pressing a singular button anymore... how tragic 😱
I know who you are... you are toxic af in game, and now you try to defend your toxic playstyle... guess what, you're done buddy 😂

Just as a counterpoint it was extremely oppressive to play again. The counter play wasn’t much of a counter play. Honestly the HA builds made everyone else pretty miserable.
Good hunting
Any tips on how to master the heavy attack build? I tried to attack someone from stealth with my destro staff but it's been pretty tough.
Sometimes I don't hold the mouse button down long enough. Other times I can't aim down the target and it fires into the sky
It's a tough playstyle all in all. I think they should be buffing it because the skill ceiling is very high. Anyone that thinks it's easy to heavy attack from stealth for 35k never tried it. I had to put up a buff before it too. People think it's so easy to hit someone who's distracted fighting other people, but sometimes they roll dodge too! Probably using cheat engine or something.

Yes, that needs to be nerfed, but that shouldn't mean that anything that increases heavy attack damage for PvP should become absolutely useless. This is yet another case of using the sledgehammer against the extreme end of something (which is specifically inferno heavy attack ganking) and destroying everything which is effected by said change that wasn't an issue in the process.
You'd think they would be able to disable the light and heavy attack bonuses from applying while the user is out of combat, in stealth, or invisible, or even make them only apply to melee attacks so there's more risk for the reward as well, but no, they're too lazy and apathetic for reasonable changes. Hence why we keep getting these ridiculous, extreme changes of over buffing then over nerfing.
