And to the Rahjin player who called me out for "poor sportsmanship" (I'm not going to violate the policy on naming and shaming, but you know who you are) I would say that whispering your opponent in offline mode so they can't say anything back is even worse sportsmanship.

Certainly more obnoxious that spamming Rahjin so I can't do anything; though I guess as it's part of the game there's nothing I can really do about that other than say it's annoying as hell and that people who do that are annoying as hell.
This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!

So, they beat you within the rules, and expectations of the game? And I am guessing you conceded rather than just finishing the match, which made them unable to count a win for their daily quest. I'd call that poor sportsmanship. If you aren't willing to play within the rules that are set out for the game, like activating patrons, maybe it isn't the game for you. And that is ok.

But a player conceding does count for the quest and for leaderboard position now, right? I had a player do this yesterday (they were actually winning by 1 point at the time, 15-14) and my quest advanced.

It does not. It was adjusted in the PTS patch notes. So it will not be live until next month (sept for console). It is possible, since the player was winning, that they DC'd and the game treats that differently.

But my larger point was that acting like a player using the Patrons is some scummy behavior is nonsense.

    So many counters for Rajhiin...

    - Psijic - grab all the 4x toss cards you can
    - Red Eagle - lots of card destruction
    - Orgnum - more cards in your deck means more power

I let the timer run out on the last turn (maybe not the nicest thing to do, but whatever. No doubt I've had opponents do that with me). Opponent whispers me to complain and claims it's a bannable offense (laughable). Meanwhile opponent is in offline mode so I can't even respond to them.

I even said that Rahjin is within the rules of the game, even if it is obnoxious to play against (I know there are ways around it, and that said most of the time I do pick Red Eagle if my opponent hasn't picked it first). [Snip]

Idk, I got legion’s arrival today and I’m pretty sure I got a winning by forfeit count towards my quest completion. I think they may have implemented some of the pts announced changes to the real game.

I don't have too much of a problem with whispering while offline or ignoring, but I hate it when someone posts a WTB, WTS, or WTT for some outfit style page in zone chat during an event, or looking for furniture crafting materials to buy, etc., and I go to whisper them to take them up on their offer and they're in offline mode.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

@SeaGtGruff i understand this is an off-topic, but on the PC platform there are many addons to block WTB/WTS/WTT in zone chat, including pChat filters, if i am not mistaken even LUI Extended has such option too.

You cannot whisper someone while you are in Offline Mode or they are in Offline mode. Try it. You CAN post to any other Chat such as Zone, Guild, Say etc. while in Offline mode but then again you are not "Whispering" anyone in private.

The player OP is talking about was not in Offline Mode during the game. After he won he switched to Offline mode. I know.

They did implement Legion's Arrival on live with the most recent incremental on PC - as noted in the patch notes for 8.0.8.

The change for winning by forfeit was not noted in the live patch notes. If it was included in the incremental, then the patch notes should be updated to reflect that.

Just like in PvP, if someone feels the need to rage whisper you, you kind of won already, regardless of the actual outcome of the game.
