So, they beat you within the rules, and expectations of the game? And I am guessing you conceded rather than just finishing the match, which made them unable to count a win for their daily quest. I'd call that poor sportsmanship. If you aren't willing to play within the rules that are set out for the game, like activating patrons, maybe it isn't the game for you. And that is ok.

But a player conceding does count for the quest and for leaderboard position now, right? I had a player do this yesterday (they were actually winning by 1 point at the time, 15-14) and my quest advanced.

I let the timer run out on the last turn (maybe not the nicest thing to do, but whatever. No doubt I've had opponents do that with me).

It does not. It was adjusted in the PTS patch notes. So it will not be live until next month (sept for console). It is possible, since the player was winning, that they DC'd and the game treats that differently.
But my larger point was that acting like a player using the Patrons is some scummy behavior is nonsense.

Idk, I got legion’s arrival today and I’m pretty sure I got a winning by forfeit count towards my quest completion. I think they may have implemented some of the pts announced changes to the real game.
