Yes, then I got extra salty DMs becasue I "cheated a win" with my 11 prestidge vs his 42 by scooping up a tieth card, slapping both the bird and the cat to win

I had an incredibly grueling game once, where my opponent had me in patron checkmate early on and happened to have a huge advantage otherwise, so I couldn't even work on building my deck or power due to needing to use a patron every turn. It was by far the most brutal game I've ever had lol.
So even without an actual patron victory, the threat of it CAN be very real. Especially if the patrons require certain conditions: to have a sacrifice-able for Hlaalu, to have 2 power for Hunding or Red Eagle, etc. In the vast majority of games, it's not a threat or a strategy available to me or my opponent. But it can sometimes be helpful to make the opponent make a bad choice a few times.
I played one game against another player. He started immediately flipping the patrons and when I flipped one back to neutral he quit.
I decided to try one game against another player for the daily. I didn't get credit for a win when he quit so I am done. I might play around against NPCs a bit more but I really doubt I play another player again. Honestly I wasn't real excited about the card game anyway.
