Polls aren't allowed in the ToT forum so please don't move this thread. I tried to create one and it wouldn't let me. Would hate for this function to be broken.

Anyway, I got one by using the Tithe card. If you got one, how did you get yours?

I have 4 patron victories and 1 patron defeat. In all 5 games, the winner likely would have won anyway so there was no victory being stolen just a shorter game for both sides.

I don't/haven't played Tales of Tribute
Played it for the initial decks and decided it was boring and wasting half an hour on it was not worth it for me.

So the answer is not only no, but a never, as I won't even bother starting with the game on my alts.

My few patron wins so far have either involved Tithe or Currency Exchange.

I had an incredibly grueling game once, where my opponent had me in patron checkmate early on and happened to have a huge advantage otherwise, so I couldn't even work on building my deck or power due to needing to use a patron every turn. It was by far the most brutal game I've ever had lol.

So even without an actual patron victory, the threat of it CAN be very real. Especially if the patrons require certain conditions: to have a sacrifice-able for Hlaalu, to have 2 power for Hunding or Red Eagle, etc. In the vast majority of games, it's not a threat or a strategy available to me or my opponent. But it can sometimes be helpful to make the opponent make a bad choice a few times.

Yeah, I popped 3 Patrons on the same turn using Currency Exchange and the instant-use Tavern card that has the same effect. It was only made funnier because they left the tavern card there for me, and I had no way to win otherwise. lol

I am not sure how this would be considered cheating lol. Your opponent was clearly not paying attention to how many Patrons were ready to be flipped.

I have both won with the 'extra Patron turn' and lost against the Patron win. My loss was due to me not paying close enough attention which happens a lot when I play. I make silly mistakes and overlook the obvious especially if I am tired, but I at least will admit I lost fairly and did not see what was clearly in front of me.

I have a couple patron dubs under my belt (and a few Ls, tbh)
Hard to pull off, annoying to fend off. It's why I like to use Celarus deck as my swing/defense deck. Eliminates a patron loss if I don't play agents. Granted, not always a smart strategy but if you're still learning and competing against others, it's an option to use so you can focus on card gameplay and not sweat the patrons.

Ive had a handful of patron wins, a not insignificant portion of which im sure were agaisnt people whom just did the tutorial and werent quite watching the patrons. Ive pulled a couple on some players that played like they knew at least as much as i did. But not many

Definitely have gotten some wins this way. The only patrons many folks seem to watch are the raven and hlallu. So just pop the other two patrons early, and you're set up for a win, especially if the other person has tunnel vision on that prestige gap. NPCs, at least novice ones, will let you walk right up to a patron win without even trying to stop you.

Yes, and ever since I got it I'm a little paranoid when my opponent has 2 patrons and there's another two neutral.

Only against NPCs but I didn't have another player get one either, I'm mindful when they have gotten two patrons and turn one immediately because you never know when the cards that allow you to use two patrons at once can appear.

I played one game against another player. He started immediately flipping the patrons and when I flipped one back to neutral he quit.
I decided to try one game against another player for the daily. I didn't get credit for a win when he quit so I am done. I might play around against NPCs a bit more but I really doubt I play another player again. Honestly I wasn't real excited about the card game anyway.

I currently get about one person quitting every like 10 games. So majority of the games nobody quits, but enough do that it's seriously aggravating that it doesn't register as a win. This is something they most certainly need to fix. I got my first 3 game win streak the other day, and it wasn't good enough to complete my daily because the win only registered for the win streak and mail but not the daily. Luckily, I also won the next game.

    Still quite irritating.

The other player had 43 prestige, with a 19 point lead over me. I suspect they had not yet lost via the patrons. On my turn I gained the favor of the fourth patron and won. About two minutes later I received an XBOX IM accusing me of cheating.

Well, I apologise for any games I've left partway through. My net isn't always super stable out here in the boonies. I feel that if a ranked game is going to nail me for losing connection as if I had lost, the other player ought to get a win. If course, the option to continue the game after I reconnected would be even better. I had a good shot at winning those dc'd games.

Yeah. It doesn't feel good to win that way unless you have some super combo of 3 patron uses. Otherwise patrons are just a pay attention mechanic. Makes the game annoying to play casually, not that it's that fun to play imo anyway.
