Please make Deadland Treasure maps have a higher chance to drop or add them to Fargrave Dailies

✭✭I burned through just over 200 maps to get the first 13 leads for the Ancestral Akaviri, and then another 165 to get the final lead that I was missing in order to complete my Codex (those 165 maps netted me 16 motif chapters, which is NOT a great return on investment). I will not be bothering with the Ancestral Daedric motifs. I get that MMOs are a grind, but the triple dose of RNG from having to 1.) get a map in the correct zone, 2.) get a lead from digging up the treasure chest, and 3.) get the correct lead, in order to complete your motif collection and finish the Codex is just downright ridiculous. I am more likely to cancel my ESO+ subscription and delete the game, than to ever waste that kind of time again, simply because someone at Zenimax was having a bad day and came up with that terrible idea. Hard pass.
Quite frankly, there was nothing wrong with the early motifs from leads when each treasure map had the chance for certain motif chapters to drop. At least then you could farm the correct maps to try and complete your set, and that had a huge impact on the treasure map market. People were suddenly digging up those maps, or selling them, instead of just deleting them. I would love an honest answer from ZOS as to why they strayed from that system.6 -
EozZoe1989✭✭✭hope all old content like digging and scrying will pass over also treasure maps and also because everyone likes.. it still and its a good thing still make some events around it.. would be cool.. i think the new one is for scrying opening digging and chests i think not sure thou..
this game is so good.. i see more mini games or hope see more coming to game fishiing should be revamped and leveling for it also in rods .. and other like lores and more..
mages guild needs more for it also..skyrim needs story more about mages guild like in skyrim ..0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Chests should have a much higher chance to drop a map for their specific zone, and Treasure Maps should have a guaranteed chance to drop an ancestral motif.

WitchyWarrior✭✭✭✭Wouldn't it be awesome if they revamped the treasure maps you get when ordering the chapters? It took me a few times to realize how absolutely worthless they truly are & it wasn't RNG. They don't even include an overland set piece. They could at least let there be a chance to get something special in one of them.
Also, they should have treasure maps be a rare bonus you can find while excavating. It would fit the immersion
Also, also, I'm glad I read this thread because I did not know these motifs were so valuable still. I have been giving the extra ones I find to my alts just to get them out of my bank. I stopped playing for a while & just came back a few weeks ago, I just assumed all the motif stuff has died down since a new chapter is coming up so everyone is getting ready for new stuff.
I'm so out of the loop lol
But I have found the majority of the new area maps in Thieves troves & the rest in IC/delves in pvp land1 -

i know every page except the chests --- i have pulled them three times -- all three times i have sold them for 600k. you dont get anything extra for knowing every motif -- once they are no longer worth that i will eventually learn it.

My main knows every available motif style with the exception of the Ancestral Daedric, and it's probably going to stay that way. 600K for a single motif chapter is beyond absurd. I feel like Zenimax forgot that we play the game to have fun.2 -

This must be Xbox NA, on EU Deadlands maps sell for 80-100k with motifs selling for 250k upwards with chests over a million and smaller body pieces 700k+0 -

Same here.I open lots of treasure chests and thieves troves and get at least a couple a week (...)

Once I scryed and learned all the motifs, I've just been selling the maps I find. Didn't realize the chest was in the 600K range still. Might continue farming deadlands maps...0 -

Well think your pricing is a bit off, its over 6million for chests and everything else is close to 1million.
