Does Strength of the Automaton buff the bleed from vMA's Merciless Charge?

Does it count as a 'bleed ability' or is that restricted to stuff like your Growing Swarm and Cutting Dive?
Looking at a bleed build and if it works, that extra 400 on all those would be a nice buff. However, I don't want to farm it all only to find out it doesn't do much!
If anyone knows, please advise?

Larcomar✭✭✭✭✭Pretty sure it does yes. Just looked at it on my stamsorc. Tool tip with 5 pieces of automaton is 10920, take off one piece of automaton and replace with a similar item (purple, divines, stam enchant) it goes down to 9856.0

Funny story I have never seen the tooltip say bleed damage as well that must have been a change I never noticed since returning and moving to PC
I took my stamplar who has automation on currently and checked the bleed on vma perfected 2h and checked a bleed skill carve. I change the arm piece for same type/level/trait and there was a decrease on the bleed tooltip on the 2h and bleed skills
I will be honest I will be removing automation next patch because I had soul trap as my multi dot skill but with the next patch there will be no physical damage dot in the game but I never checked bleed skills so trap could be swapped for a bleed skill but none come to mind that functions like soul trap didEdited by macsmooth on 12 February 2022 16:230
