"Curse of Doylemish: Fixed an issue where this set could proc on the same attack that triggered a stun in some cases, bypassing the intended counterplay of the set."

After testing the set in the pts I have uncovered that what you actually did was make it so it cannot be procced from a dual wield heavy attack. This was never a bug and has existed since the set came out. The reason it functions that way is because the dual wield heavy attack is TWO attacks. First hit deals damage and stuns(if from stealth) and the second hit deals damage and procs the set because the target is now stunned. Its an extremely fringe set that nearly no one uses except with dual wield and you are effectively deleting it from the game. Its not strong for dps, and its way too hard to proc in pvp without dual wield. Stop making sets unusable and I think its incredibly slimy that you are disguising this nerf as a "bug" fix.
I wrote a poem that I titled, "The ganker's delight."

As you lay upon the ground, cry not little pawn.
The pain will pass as quickly as my blade did take you,
but my delight will last and you will respawn.
My heart simply cannot contain my joy, when I ply my trade.

The fault lies with you, your skill was lacking.
Now your salt is mine forever, can't you hear the laughing?
Once you were so proud and now you are reduced to this.
A miserable, loud deuced fool.

With every tear you drip, with every excuse you let slip.
All of your insecurities and worries bring a smile to my lip.
From your despair I have ripped endless glories,
but our affair is over now. Be afraid for I will return for more.

I have received many titles, to my allies I am The sniper Emperor and Grand champion hero of the Pact. However these titles mean little to me, it is the ones given to me by my victims that I prefer. To them I am "Xv1er", "trash", "no balls", "zerger", "noob", "cringe", "no skill", "camper", "100% new", "the reason this game is dying", "pathetic", "a sack of piece of [snip]", "mediocre", "absolute inbred", "beyond a virgin", "ganky dork", "fat smelly 40yr old virgin", "little girl", "daddy", "exploiting loser", and every [snipped] word known to man.

my only guess is they did this change to try to push the set to be used more for a tank dps set (since the cc proc conditions wont work in pve, but taunt will always work)

i agree though that this set was always kind of niche and hard to use due to the proc conditions (again the most reliable proc method was taunt lol)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

I think it was mainly used as a stamblade gank set. I've seen a few videos about it. It looked pretty crazy. XD

You're kinda proving their point. They're basically saying the design behind the set and the reason they have the CD/High Damage is because you're suppose to:

    Stun -> Heavy Attack (Proc)

    Not..

    Heavy Attack (Stun) + (Proc)

If that was the design intention, the set wouldn't have the same cooldown and damage it has now. It's balanced on the idea that you need to follow up your stun to get the proc. Basically begging for a nerf if you want the change reverted lol.

Very crazy and this was before doylemish could crit. I would constantly hit between 10-17k crits on doylemish currently on the live servers.

    [snip]
for reference was back in 2020 tho. You can pull way more damage now than before tho

Add it to the list, there were a number of powerful ways to proc this set over the years that have since been changed.

My favorite was of course the knockback on D Swing, that combo was beautiful, especially with Molten Armaments. Back then it had a much longer cooldown, 14 seconds I think.

Seems like the same treatment Sergeant's Mail got - it won't function differently for DW than it does for 2h. Both in line with the change to Enchants a few years back, I guess.

They were completely fine with it working the way it does until just this patch. This is zos attempting to be sneaky about nerfing nbs. They never would have touched the set if nbs weren't using it and having fun. I have been using it since before it could crit and it was completely fine. If they want to change it then they should make it proc if the target is stunned or has been stunned within the last 2 seconds. After this nerf it will be nearly impossible to land in pvp against anyone other then a potato. Oh please just stand still and don't break free while I charge this heavy attack plz. What a joke.

Meanwhile calurions does more damage and lands before people can break free and dodge... So stupid. Brain dead easy mode calurions gets to stay as is and Doylemish gets its last reliable proc source removed.

I always thought that was a bug.

They fixed it on other things, so it just seems like this was forgotten.

    So it's getting fixed

    That's a good thing.

Now all we need is a change to Calurions to be changed and nightblades will have to grow q brain again.

Last reliable proc source for an NB maybe. Seems to me this set was, along with the other 3 from Scalecaller, designed with DKs in mind. The boss uses a DK skill to proc the effect.

But, it got the same treatment Sergeant's Mail got, which was also mostly a DK thing, so I don't think the change was targeted towards NB.

The set could use a buff to its damage really, compared to other more easily procced sets, as you say.
